Very slow start. Team is athletic and long I’m not sure Harrell being undersized against Bamba is going to work

I wonder how many people know there is a game this early.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Nikola Vucevic already has 17 rebounds and 7 assists? That is crazy.

SGA having one of his better games in the last month or so.

Mike Scott doesn't really do anything beneficial out there if he isn't making three's. He fouls more than Beverley does on the defensive end and is nothing more than a stand still shooter on offense.

We have to free Motley that’s a PF/C with length and touch

Well, I admit I was over on Channel 4 with my Eagles. Then I accidently saw the score for the Clippers game so I don't think I'll watch the DVR of it.

But I sure can't wait 'til we start losing again so we can get some traffic on these game threads.

I have a few questions about Motley.

Can he defend? Centers are killing the Clippers this season.

Is he a good rebounder at Center?

Whose minutes should he take?

You are this boards MVP and it is not even close. Thanks for always coming through with these clips.

I would imagine he'd play PF alongside Harrell. Harrell himself is undersized, and Motley is even smaller than him. If he were to take anyone's minutes at this point, it would be Scott's. But considering Luc is coming back soon, Luc might be taking Scott's minutes anyway.

Then again, I would hope that Luc coming back means that Doc stops his three guard lineup nonsense and Luc actually dips into Bradley's minutes instead. Then you can have Motley take over Scott's minutes if Scott doesn't start doing positive things to outweigh his own shortcomings. Not a lot of shooting in that front court though, so idk.

I don't know if Motley or Luc will be improvements over the status quo. The backup QB syndrome.

Luc seems so old even though he's only 32. And how could Houston let him walk? Austin Rivers is now their 4th-best player. [After CP gets back, still in their rotation.]

As for Motley, I don't understand why he hasn't got minutes either. But if Jerry West thought he should, I suspect Doc would have accepted the advice and given him a go. No way Doc butts heads with The Logo.

No way anybody butts heads with The Logo. Including the boss.

From what I read some people do not think Motley can defend NBA centers well but I figure he will fit in perfect then so give him a shot and lets see in a game that is not close. :)

I think Gortat playing better lately is affecting the equation. Gortat admitted that at age 35, he was beat up with that brutal travel schedule and is feeling pretty good now after a few weeks of sleeping in his own bed.

That probably does play a role but look at the stat lines we give up to some centers. Motley probably is not the answer but should we just take a peak?
