Brett Brown: Jimmy Butler Did Not Cross Line

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jan 6, 2019 8:21 pm

Addressing recent reports of Jimmy Butler questioning his role within Brown's offense, Brown stated that he didn't feel Butler's objections were raised in a disrespectful manner.

“I didn’t feel like any of that crossed the line. He’s vocal. He’s all in and he has opinions, but it’s instigated by me. None of this should surprise anybody. He’s got opinions. He wants to be heard. And he should be heard," said Brown.

Butler asked to be used more in isolations and in pick-and-roll situations, which are not a part of Brown's system on offense.

“You can’t always win on your own terms,” added Brown.

Horses mouth. Get the whole story before you condemn someone.
My opinion may not be your opinion or their opinion but I have it.

Yep or run with an unconfirmed story. Do people even know what responsible journalism is these days? You used to have to go to university and learn to be a journalist. Guess that’s out the window now?

So true! I majored in journalism. Ethics, triangulating sources, attribution... those things were all hammered into us.

So glad the truth came out and all that fuss the media tried to create was much ado about sweet f*ck all. Brown is a classy dude and a players coach. I agree with Jimmy and how he ought to be used... and how Brown diffused the situation, too. That said, who leaked the story in the first place?

I knew this was a bunch of horse-sh just based on the timing of the release of the story. Woj knew it wasn't anything and he waited to release the story an hour AFTER the coaches final media session of the week, before the weekend, on a non-game day. That was to make sure it grew legs for 24 hours, before anyone could dispute the nature of the interaction. The incident happened Monday, and they decided to hold this nonsense until Friday afternoon. That was strategic.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

That's the real story here, and nobody is talking about it. There is a person who was in that film session that purposely tried to undermine Jimmy Butler and/or the Coach.

Honestly, I believe it was the agent of a player. A player at that film session. The player on the roster who either has the most to gain by getting Jimmy Butler off the team, or who lost the most when Jimmy Butler was acquired... Hmmm.

Lord forbid a man be a man and voice his opinion. It's crazy Kawhi is silent and he's a bad guy. Jimmy speaks and he's a bad guy. Not everyone is gonna be a Lebron and try to appease everyone.

Coach Brown is a nice guy, but hes a puppet.
Other stars are rolling their eyes at this "drama".

They all complain about unnecessary cuts/movement; they dont wanna burn out their legs when they're saddled w the expectations of scoring 30 and winning.

It's not there for Bulls fans or people who select all-stars or members of Team USA.
