This is interesting. Written before he started in Tennessee. What a Matt LeFleur offense might look like.

Yeah, weird how revamping an offense, having Blaine Gabbert as the starter for a few games and generally just lacking offensive talent doesn't give you a good offense.

He was supposed to come in and fix Marcus Mariota and had him for 13 games and could only get 11 TDS out of him. Or how about the fact that he didn’t use Henry like he should have all year.

He’s been overrated as an offensive guru. No much in results.

Except for that whole time he was on the Rams.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I couldn't tell you much about LaFleur but this indicates to me that they realized their offense was out of touch with the modern NFL and they are seeking to rectify that. I can only take that as a huge positive.

Wonder if Rodgers had any input?

I skimmed this and quickly found that we might actually utilize the RB much better in the pass game....Falcons and Rams...another good point mentioned when with the Rams is he was the week to week game planner...

mariota played half the year with a "stinger" in his right arm, dude couldn't throw, can't fix much when your qb cant throw and his backup is gabbert. teams then stacked the box and played run. also lost their best receiver in delanie walker early in the season.

I like the hire. wanted someone from one of the st louis, KC, or NE offensive coaching trees.

I found this encouraging:

'The most encouraging thing about this for Titans fans is that LaFleur has been a part of a staff that learned to adapt their system on the fly to fit what their quarterback did best.'

A guy that can adapt. Novel concept. Is there actual evidence that he did that though or too small of a sample?

Sean McVay was running that offense. We are talking about 2018.

A revamped offense is much needed of course. Need to have #12 and all of the receivers put in a lot of extra time this offseason. I actually think this recharges Rodgers. This is his last go around to get another ring. He'll be all in. Now it's up to Gute to add talent, both sides of the ball.

And he posted a career high completion % and second highest QB rating of his career.

Keep Pettine and Campen. If Pettine wants to keep some defensive coaches I'd consider it.

Correct but per article posted a few ago, LaFleur did the weekly game planning.

Anyone really expect Rodgers to listen to this guy? McDaniels and Gase at least had the pedigree of working with all-time greats...I see Rodgers walking all over Lafleur to be honest and more of the same issues arising next year. Really hope I’m wrong.

I can't imagine disliking this hire. To me it seems like exactly what most people wanted, they are trying to get in early on an up and coming young coach who has worked with some good offensive minds around the league. Let's see what we can do.
