Anyone have any idea why Joseph gets every single end of quarter shot? Even if Vic is on the floor, seems to go to him. He's not the quickest and not the best shooter, is it just because he's willing to take half court shots and no one else is?

And nice to see TJ play decently, but man, if you can't post up Delly then there's something wrong.

And the winner is! Our G-League reject scrub of the night!

Spoiler:
A two fer! Cameron Payne and Jordan Clarkson.

Really there are not more than 2 players on that team that could make the Pacers roster, we just let a really bad team almost beat us by giving them multiple open shots and opportunities. Bad defense makes bad teams and bad players look good.

We need Myles to comeback asap, because the bench offensively looks very poor without Sabonis. The bench play was Pacers strength, now it's the main weakness.

A road win is a road win but man our defense is struggling. Came out strong but then gave up a TON of points in the 2nd half.

The Toronto game had me wondering about talent, but after two such games I wonder about Dan Burke's defensive scheme. perhaps he needs to adjust the defense for the no mid-range shot teams.

No knee jerk reaction from a bad stretch. The team is #1 defensively in PPG and #2 in defensive rating. I'll roll with that scheme.

Getting torched by Jordan Clarkson is embarrassing. Straight up chucker and we just couldn’t guard him.

This isn’t the first time either.

we couldn't guard him when he was a Laker either. guess I have to trust that our coaches and players are looking at the game tapes and figuring out what to do.

Yeah last year in LA that guy lit up the Pacers, then he can't do squat against anyone else, the fact that he's getting 16 points a game is because there's no one else on the Cavs who can score and someone has to get some points. He got traded for next to nothing with Nance last year, your statement about him being a "chucker" is right on.

Tbf Clarkson has had a decent bounceback year and we're always going to have trouble with bigger guards unless Dipo is guarding them. DC is far too short to guard 6'2-6'4 guys and Joseph's defense just isn't as good on taller guys either. Hopefully Alize can develop into someone who can defend those types (though I know he's a forward).

Sumner is also bigger. Reed is supposed to be a defender but we haven't tried him.

Yeah Sumner does have the size and a similar build to a young Clarkson actually. Reed I'm not so sure on, haven't been overly impressed with what I've seen briefly in the G-League, but that's a crapshoot in general anyways.
