Things are going well. Wizards tank is rolling. Ernie Grunfeld has a long history of ineptitude.
Maryland is right now winning on the road at Minnesota. Jalen Smith and Bruno Fernando are creeping up in the draft.

Just catching up on this one via fast forward. Too many turnover, not boxing out, no answer for their big 3 defensively, and Shamet lights out. Get Troy Brown in and regroup for tomorrow. Brad continue to impress.
Wife says I look and dress like a taller/chunkier version of Brett Brown. I’m turning this game off.

Trade was ****. but Guess you don't know how this team works and others shame on you all. Oubre trying to get paid and the expense of Suns tank mode. Wiz failed miserable but at no cost. Their a **** show with Oubre or Ariza. Time to move money its not happening with the big 3 with Wall Beal and Otto.

The original trade return with Ariza + 2nd round pick would have been very nice for us, but unfortunately it fell through.
Anyways, Wash can still trade Ariza at the deadline to a contender so stay tuned.

Suns will have the money to pay Oubre the slightly above MLE salary he's due, which the wiz really couldn't.
The Ariza thing has been nonsense though. I get it was a panic move by Ernie, but I wouldn't have done it without getting an asset back.
Also apparently Otto injured again. Hand.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Let's cherry pick the one really good game that Oubre had with the Suns and forget that he was just ok in 10 other games. Shooting from 3 a lot better but doesn't do much else.

Tank and it really wouldn't have mattered. I think Brooks is so used to his horrible rotations, he forgets to bring Bryant back in. He mentioned something about his turnovers early as the reason. Again, doesn't matter either way but you have to use Mahinmi in a game like this when Embiid is playing full quarters.

I'm glad I don't have to watch Oubre on this team anymore .

Oubre is the same player in Phoenix as he was in DC, super inconsistent. Not defending the trade but let's not act like he's lighting the world on fire.

Haters.
Oubre at 23 is much more valuable than 33 year old Ariza. He's still young and he can still improve

Agreed. I'm getting real tired of people posting, "Look at the great game Oubre is having!" Oubre is a streaky player. When he's rolling, he's going to put up numbers. But he's also going to have games where he's a selfish shot-jacker who makes too many mistakes. People aren't going to come here and post, "Look at the awful game Oubre is having!"
Oubre is what he is. He's talented and energetic, and he'll probably figure things out eventually and become a pretty good player. But, thanks to Ernie, we lack the cap room to have the luxury of waiting for him to pan out. He was going to be gone in the offseason. Trading him was a no-brainer. (Now, the meager return we got is worth complaining about, but that's a different subject.)
