Serious question - the entire second half we only played offense on one half of our court... is that scheme or just our guys being selfish (the half with the ball) / lazy (the half just standing around)?

I have no doubt that Vuc and possibly Ross will be gone by the deadline.

But isn't Vuc a great scorer? Shouldn't he be able to give us more than 20 when we need it?

A select few but some are still hellbent on keeping him. I just don't get it. We need to flush most of the roster and rinse the culture.

Briscoe tried to make something happen when the lead was slipping. I loved his attitude all night. Unfortunately getting the T didn't really do anything for the other guys to push them to play with even 50% effort.

You know why we in this predicament? Easily, you set yourself up thinking you have a capable roster for a play off spot so you try to move fast to that route, only to find out you don't have the pieces and get stuck in getting players from 5-10 range. We have done this for how many years now? NOW IF WE HAD LOST THAT LAST GAME OF LAST SEASON, NUMBER 3 PICK COULD HAVE BEEN OURS..and you know who would have been available to us that night? LUKA DONCIC...The very player I was hoping to get this whole Summer. NOOOOO, we had to get the BIG GUY because he has long arms and potential with Defense....POTENTIAL and DEFENSE that needs work in offense.....I AM TIRED OF THIS NONE SENSE approach, the league has moved on from this so call potentials and defense to straight Offensive players with offensive mindsets approach..We don't have any.

I don't think it's toughness, I think it's too easy to defend this team when since we have so many non shooters and few facilitators. This is a team made up of scrubs and complimentary players with no one to play off of. Vuc is good, but not good enough to score at will against Gobert

Yeah I said "half" a lot, huh? Nearly every possession we just had 2 guys dribbling and passing to each other while the other 3 just stood on the other side of the court behind the 3 point line waiting for a kickout. Is that by design or is it just our guys being selfish/lazy?

We have no great scorers. Were forcing 2nd and 3rd options into that role. Of course its failing.

I would be if we didnt have 17 wins already lol.. that's what kills me. We really needed to be in the 9-12 win range.
Every loss counts. Lets at least lock down the 6th best odds. With the new lottery odds who knows what could happen

The Jazz really picked up their energy level, and I think what happens is, we've got guys off the ball that are supposed to be moving around off screens and such, but the Jazz were on top of it and our execution gets really bad when things start to go south, so what we end up looking at is a guy holding the ball in one spot for 15 seconds with nothing happening. And then after that happens for a few minutes, guys start to think that the solution is to just go 1-on-1, and our roster going 1-on-1 is pretty lol.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

No, because this team needs him to score more than 20 every game to be competitive... more like 30 to win. If he did that he'd be a superstar. Is that the bar ya'll have raised for Vuc now? Superstar? There isn't a player on this team that makes the game easier for Vuc... just think about that.

Uhhh, when did 20ppg make someone a superstar? Allstar maybe, but even that’s no guarantee.

Maybe the Magic’s ‘don’t vote for Vuc’ campaign was because he’s not allstar caliber?

I would say there might be a riot in the streets of Amway Center but no one really cares about this team anymore

He said MORE than 20 WHEN WE NEED IT, which is basically every damn game with this roster since nobody can score consistently except him. If you look at our wins he's basically scoring 25-30 in a lot of them.

I like Briscoe. He's a work in progress but should continue to be in the rotation. We have an obvious deficiency at PG, and our flaws at the position are starting to catch up with us. Our record is right where it should be.

Well, you know when you really start building a team? When you get a star. Until then, Vuc is hurting us (winning meaningless games) unless he's used in a trade to net a superstar.

If you don't want to tank and look at teams like Houston as a model, Houston didn't worry about Vuc level players. They traded for Harden then built a team around him. We need to do the same. Package Vuc in a trade for a chance at a young star (D'Angelo, Beal, whoever is available) and see how it goes because we're going nowhere with Vuc.
