No, because this team needs him to score more than 20 every game to be competitive... more like 30 to win. If he did that he'd be a superstar. Is that the bar ya'll have raised for Vuc now? Superstar? There isn't a player on this team that makes the game easier for Vuc... just think about that.
Well, you know when you really start building a team? When you get a star. Until then, Vuc is hurting us (winning meaningless games) unless he's used in a trade to net a superstar.
If you don't want to tank and look at teams like Houston as a model, Houston didn't worry about Vuc level players. They traded for Harden then built a team around him. We need to do the same. Package Vuc in a trade for a chance at a young star (D'Angelo, Beal, whoever is available) and see how it goes because we're going nowhere with Vuc.

Oh yeah, let's just trade an expiring Vuc for a star... so easy!

Was Harden a star when Houston traded for him? He was REALLY good but was just showing signs. Vuc+AG+Isaac could get us something decent.
But you know what is not working? What we're doing.
Also, he's a FA, so get what you can.
If you 'lose' the trade, so what? We'll lose more and get a better pick. At this rate Vuc won't be around when we're ready to compete anyway. And oh yeah, we just took a center with the 6th pick.
How many more reasons do you need?

LOL If you're talking about throwing all our assets at a player then stop only talking about Vuc. Problem is you will never see that kind of trade from our front office, so there's no point obsessing over it.

So... just accept sucking until Vuc retires then? Or until Hammond hits the lottery and finds another Giannis with a pick in the 8-15 range?

No... just be more realistic? Why get worked up over a blockbuster trade that will never come?

The problem is maybe other teams don't want our players. I'm sure Welham is getting a good sense of Vucevics value by the trade proposals or the lack of them.orlando1214 wrote:This roster desperately needs change. The front office has to stop dragging their feet on this. It's time to move on from this core. It hasn't worked out for years now and it makes zero sense to keep trying to make it work. They did Vogel dirty with the "evaluation" year, and now they are screwing Clifford over by expecting him to turn trash into gold.
I'm so done with excuses with this front office, they need to step up and figure something out because this team is going to end up where no team wants to be, out of the playoff but not bad enough to get a top pick. Even worse, our best player and our best bench player can walk for nothing in the offseason. It's time to move on from the core, do everything we can to develop our young guys, and start moving this team in a positive direction. Also, for the love of God get Fournier off this team as soon as possible!

This is absolutely laughable. And there won't be anything done to fix this. Watch us make a small trade and be all giddy over nothing.
