Malik Monk - Guessing Hornets wanna hang on to him, really like him he’s a gunner and young. Fits as our new age Flip Murray.

Marquese Chriss- He’s stuck in Houston loads of talent. Could come cheap.

Dragan Bender- see above

These guys are still young, on cheap contracts and seem to fit our roster moving forward.

Thoughts?

Hey Spud...
Valanciunas and your boy OG for Lin and Dedmon.
The only thing is Val as a $17 mil player option for next season, so I'm not sure I like it. Maybe we can move Val later - he's still a good player and will be an expiring next season.

Wow I also like that minus Val. We can definitely try to flip him but due to immobility and being a Dinosaur in today’s game it might be hard. I love OG though and that’s how we wanna do it I think. As people have mentioned we already have plenty o picks we need a young rising star. I like it some.

I do understand that Val would be the selling point for Raps for sure. While we at it can we send Vince there too, I really want him to get a ring. Or a shot at one.

3 teamer:
Lin/Dedmon to Toronto
Val to Sac (if Kanter deal falls thru)
Zbo(expring) and OG to Hawks.

I would like to see a Udonis Haslem style body transformation from Omari by the start of next season.

Wouldn’t put it past him he’s not as smart as he looks. There’s that big man dummy syndrome still in him..despite obviously not being a dummy on the court..he takes his dumminess to the front office.

Monk is in his 2nd year. Going nowhere.

Chriss and Bender are going to be UFAs this offseason.

I don't see these three as a good fit for what we need but Bender might get some interest

We can sign Bender ala Alex Len in offseason.
Chriss bothers me - missing a lil heart, seems entitled.
HorCats aren't moving Monk.

How does Len even compare to Bender? Just because they were both white bigs on the Suns? Lol. They games are different.

Looks like the Kanter deal is falling through.....so there is a chance, call up Vlad, you're close to him out West. :)

  - I think Bender is more PF than C, slight of frame, shoots the 3 already. Hopefully better hands than Len. I don't know enough about his game though.
Another suns missed pick or they just can't develop these guys.
Woah, he just turned 21 this past November.

Ya I don’t know what’s going on in the land of the Sun. I don’t even get why Booker sits out every other game what’s that about...they have Ayton and other pieces but development seems to be a huge issue. But maybe Bender is Nikoloz Tskitishvili who knows.

They have no PG.
I can't remember which GM said it but he said you can have all the great bigs but unless you have at least a quality PG those bigs will never reach their potential. They need someone to understand how to get them the ball.

So Kevin O'Connor said that you guys might trade Prince and that the Blazers, Thunder and 76ers might be interested. Do you expect this to happen? And if so: What kind of return seems realistic? I always thought Prince was a nice enough prospect, but a couple of comments on Reddit by Hawks fans have made it sound like he's not the kind of guy other fans think he is (in my case: Good, strong defender that is able to know down shots and be somewhat efficient). Especially the defense has been lacking according to those comments. :-?

It wouldn't surprise me if he's moved. When asked to take more of a primary role, he got away from himself imho. I think he has it in him to be that defender, plus offensive piece in the right situation.

Same with Bazemore. They are just miscast on our roster since we have to ask too much of them.

For Prince, I can see a similar type player in return. Basically a guy who also needs to be elsewhere to thrive. Something like a Ferguson (OKC) or a Beasley (DEN).

No clue if either are available. Just saying someone of that ilk.

I don't think Ferguson is available. Presti held onto him last year when teams were interested and he has taken a big step forward this season, becoming a good defender and a guy that can hit a 3 from time to time. I personally would be willing to give up Diallo though.

What about that chippy player you guys have, forgot his name...Dennis Shrader was it? Silver spoons star.

Diallo isn't anywhere close to enough in terms of value.

We need to keep Prince and trade him during the draft.

As for Lin, I would do this deal: Add NO 2020-2022 top 10 protected. 2023 top 5 protected. 2024 top 3 protected. 2025 unprotected. Not interested in two 2nd nonsense.
