I see Dante is not listed on the injury report. Is he coming back or is his injury more serious and they don't even bother putting him in there because he's not expected to be back for a while?

Exum is out for at least two weeks according to Tony Jones.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

He’s listed in the reply. We have so many injuries, it takes two tweets!

Re: Mid-season Injury Thread
Rubio, Exum, Neto, and even Allen out. Wow!
I have faith Mitchell can run the point, and Joe handles the ball a lot already, but this is going to cause a chain reaction at the wing spots that will require much more of O'Neale, Korver and possibly Crowder. The guy who may get the most minutes due to trickle down is Niang. Also, defense vs smaller, quicker PG's may be an issue when Mitchell is off the floor.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. What I don't want to hear is excuses against an LBJ-less Lakers team. They still need to handle their business.

Is Naz still with the Stars? They should probably call him up.

On the radio today they said Allen was sent to the Stars before yesterday's game, but that he didn't play. I would think this means he is really close to returning.

Man....I have wanted to see Neto get a serious run at being the starting PG and then he gets hurt too. Sucks.

Re: Mid-season Injury Thread
The most recent updates I've seen on Thabo, Dante and Raul:
Jan. 22, 7:06 PM Thabo Sefolosha (hamstring) out another week.
Jan. 15, 8:17 PM Dante Exum (ankle) out 2 more weeks.
Jan. 22, 7:07 PM Raul Neto (groin) out another week.
The Jazz have a home and away series with the Wolves on Jan 25th and 27, and a game at Portland on Jan 30. Maybe we will get back one or more of these players in time for the game at Portland. We need to win that game to take the season series. I am glad Niang and Allen got an opportunity to play recently while we still won games, but right now those two guys aren't nearly as good as Thabo, Exum or Neto.

I heard somewhere that he's supposed to get reevaluated today. The Jazz should have a practice session today, usually if a player participates in practice fully they are ready to play. So we'll see what happens today.

It's now being reported that Exum will be evaluated after the all star break....

Exum out at least another 7 games. This is officially a major ankle sprain. Also, Tony Bradley already has bad knees?

Sefolosha (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in one week, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Sidelined since Jan. 7 due to a right hamstring strain, Sefolosha will be out for at least another three games.

Neto (groin) will be re-evaluated in one week, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Three games will occur before Neto's next evaluation. The reserve point guard has been sidelined since Jan. 11 due to a strained left groin.

Re: Mid-season Injury Thread
The fact that these guys are out so long right through the trade deadline isn't helping their trade value. GMs probably think "injury prone" when Exum's name comes up, and with Thabo, they may be thinking of him as an older player who is entering a phase of more frequent injuries.
So I doubt Exum, Thabo or Neto will be traded, but I am optimistic that all three can recover to play well when they come back.

I tend to think the Jazz see Exum as long term with the team still. He rolled his ankle... it's unfortunate, but not a season ending issue. When they say he's good to come back, he'll be 100%. His contract is good imo. I tend to think any trade involving him is a negative return for us in terms of value. He would have to be the additional piece of something that really made an impact. In the end of the day he's probably not a smart trade-away.
Thabo... his contract itself is a value that other teams will be interested in. No problems trading that.
