That pass has to be frontrunner for best pass of the year no debate. The guy was already in the middle of throwing it full court before he even fully knew where Murray was. One handed no less, so he didn't even have 100% control of the ball.

Unbelievable.

Is there a correlation between being GBMP and late growth spurts? Sabonis was (point?)guard, Jokic was swingman*, what about Walton, Webber etc?

If we're talking "big men" I'd still regard Magic Johnson at 6'9 as a big man who was just able to play a guard position.

Vision and ability to deliver passes Jokic is just as good as Magic, just Magic had the ability to drive that Jokic doesn't have that could open for other opportunities.

Some of it is his hands. If you can handle the ball with one hand it increases the angle and speed. Jokic can do it as can Giles. See Giles at :46 in this mix tape....

I don't know why more players don't do this. He should be credited an assist on this.

Uh, no.

...and for what it's worth, Jokic is one of my favorite players ever. I think he's quite possibly the best-passing center in league history.

As good of a passer as Magic Johnson? Hell no.

Because it's a self-pass and should be a turnover. Technically, that's a "shot." And you can't rebound/touch your own miss if it doesn't touch the rim.

SO that was a TO that wasn't call? Kobe used to do that and was never called for it. There must be something in the rules. I wonder why the refs don't call it.

I don't quite see the harm in that type of play, but maybe if every player did it it would be obvious why it's a problem.

Hardly any US big men make the list, potentially speaks about the difference in basketball player development between the US and Europe.

Magic was the best passer at his position, Jokic is at his in modern basketball , Jokic is pulling out difficult passes effortlessly ala Magic Johnson , I am giving the edge to Magic but Jokic is in that mold , I think greatest passer of all time was Maravich.
