Hello Brooklyn wrote:#6 seed is awesome. Expecting use to edge above .500 soon. Also I think the "no star" talk is premature.

Levert and Russell could both end up being all stars. They're so young.

i think we can hit .500 but it will take a month or so... we are 21-22 now but that is likely to be 21-25 after the next 3 games: @Tor, Bos, @ Hou and then a long road trip to follow.

Those ref blown Philly & Memphis games are really annoying. That doesn't even count the games where we shot ourselves in the foot.

Add in that ridiculous Pelicans loss and 99 times outta 100 we would be 24 - 19 and almost the 5th seed.

If we’re 24-19, we would only need to go 14-25 the rest of the way to make the playoffs. Those 3 games might end up having a big impact when we are trying to scrape into the playoffs in April.

Dudley and DMC spent most of the time guarding him... not sure if you two even watched the game.

Fro guarded Dedmon then Len and although they had some scraps they were not guarding each other.

Collins is a beast without any doubts but not sure why you are trying to **** on the fro again.

Thank you.

Stuff like this is what leads to someone on here saying "I don't think Jarrett Allen is a starting C in the NBA"

yes, someone did really say that. this season.

That might've been me lol

You guys are too sensitive about the players as if they can't be criticized they're not perfect. Opposing teams scoring on big Jay is a problem he doesn't have the bulk to defend. That's not an attack on him that's the truth he and the coach have said he needs to get stronger.

It wasn't you who said it

And no one said that any player is above reproach. However, when we're getting to the bottom of why opposing bigs are having a field day versus the Nets, i think just chalking it up to Jarrett Allen getting crapped on is very lazy analysis. You had two people in this thread FALSELY implying that John Collins dropping 30 was Allen's fault when it was not, which led to another poster rightfully questioning if these two dudes even watched the game. This is the **** that I'm talking about, and then dudes get offended when they get called on it talking about people are babying the players. GTFOH. If Allen plays like ass, I'll say it. If Russell plays like ass, I'll say it. No one is babying players. Some folks just need to stop talking bull ****.

We can specifically name instances of where Allen has been taken down low and completely manhandled one on one. Enes Kanter comes to mind, I'm sure. But acting like opposing bigs having big nights is 100% Allen is a real lazy hot take. How about we take a look at how our defense is set up? What is the defense giving up the opponents and what is it designed to take away? It's not just as simple as "oh lolz every opposing big takes a **** on Allen".

We WANT teams to throw it to their center in the post vs. Allen. You look at our defense and their are GLARING things that stand out:

-We allow the fewest 3PA in the NBA
-We allow the 3rd fewest Roll man FGA at the rim in the NBA

We want teams taking midrange jumpers and dumping it the post. that is inefficient 1980s basketball. has allen gotten killed down low on several occasions? yes. but honestly, we won most of those games. embiid bullied him yet we won 2 of 3 games and our only loss was on a butler step back at the buzzer. Kanter bullied him 2 of the 3 games we won both games. Collins dropped 30 and we won that game. Anthony davis had a god-like 35/25 game and we won that as well... davis went off in the first meeting we basically won that game until dlo literally threw it away and the refs jobbed us.

and once allen adds bulk we will dominate these games not just win them because he will hold his own even more while being the already excellent help and team defender he is.

allen can give up 100 in the post. as long as he limits pick and roll scoring we are golden
