What? Seems you know about as much about censorship as you do about basketball.

What's up with this guy being allowed to troll me?

Both of you need to stop.

This thread is already unpopular, and might get closed soon. It's already trending in the direction of "Everyone trolls the OP and calls him an idiot".

Don't listen to OP. He doesn't represent Celtics fans, we are all very happy with Kyrie's and Morris's play. Those two and Smart are the only ones who have consistently showed up the whole season.

Also, we really don't need an update about the Celtics on a game-to-game basis. Yes, they are good, but not great right now. Maybe they become great in time, maybe not. Who knows. But until then, pretty sure there are like 25 other teams people can talk about, too.

Any intel on what happened between Brown and Morris? I can see Morris verbally going at a teammate but thought taking it physical was out of character.

Team trying to integrate several new major pieces is inconsistent in the first half of the season. Shocking.

never seen a more overrated player than kyrie. Did nothing on the cavs without lebron, then had his team make the conference finals without him. Casuals overrate this guy hard because of his cool handles and highlight plays.

The team isn't built around Irving's strengths...that's on your GM. It's not a very well constructed team, it's just a group of assets.

a team built around kyrie doesn't even get past the first round

Kyrie is having his best all around season easily. Morris is playing two way basketball and has a 64 TS%.

Also where did this whole Boston moved the ball like crazy in the playoffs and with Kyrie back the ball now sticks? The Celtics averaged less assists a game in the playoffs last year compared to the regular season (21 vs 22), while this year they're averaging 26 assists a game (6th in the league). Also in the playoffs Rozier held the ball longer each possession and he dribbled more per touch than Kyrie as well. I don't get where the idea of Rozier being a pass first guy came from.

But ya lets keep going with baseless narratives.

That's my issue with Kyrie, he isn't agressive enough. It's his team, and he should make that clear as a leader. But all that iso-ball criticism that he gets is just a myth.

Haha it is weird. I read the Celtics board and I see probably a healthy majority saying game after game that Kyrie needs to shoot more and be more aggressive. But everywhere else I read and hear that Kyrie kills the ball movement and is too selfish.

Real Celtic ppl think Kyrie needs to take over. He's too passive & team-ish. The people who are dumb watch 3 celtics games all yr & just talk gossip, they still have Kyrie as an iso selfish guy.

Last nights game got ugly. But in 9 of our last 10 games, we're 7-3. Take out 1 horrific qtr in 2/3 of those losses & we're 9-1. We're playing much better. It's annoying, cause it woulda been nice to gain a game on the ppl ahead of us, but we got Toronto coming up this week.

We got 15 games in Jan, so far we're 5-1. Still got us 13-2 for the month. We'll be alright.

Before LeBron came on the Cavs, Kyrie was 21 years old, and on a bad team, he never had a chance to do anything without LeBron. But LeBron also wouldn't have had a chance to win a ring in Cleveland, if it wasn't for Kyrie. I know LeBron is the daddy of you Raptors fans, but i got news for you, he didn't win that championship in Cleveland by himself lol.

One of the best topics in the history of the GB. The OP did his research and hit the nail on the head.

He demanded a trade and has never been known as anything but a scorer.

Is anybody shocked that he may be selfish?

Irving: 49/41/86, 59% TS%
Morris: 50/45/88, 64% TS%

These two have been crazy efficient this year and are responsible for the Celtics success thus far. Comparing them to Melo is absurd since they're clearly not just high volume, low efficiency scorers.

OP must not have seen the corpse of Al Horford out there trying to play and failing miserably! The team came back and made it a game and the horrid bench play at the beginning of the fourth including Al got them down another 10 points in less than 3 minutes!
They need to sit him on the second night of B2B because he is struggling big time.

Kyrie and Morris aren't the problem with this team. The whole team seems to have a problem some nights (like last night).

You could see it right away when they fell in love with shooting jumpshots in the first few minutes that it was going to be "one of those games." What I mean by that is that the whole team just didn't really look like they cared and were just going through the motions. Nobody was interested in attacking the rim or moving the ball inside-out, they just wanted to take easy jumpers and get the game over with. I don't know if Horford even rolled to the basket once? Then when their jumpers aren't falling, they hang their heads and stop playing defense and then just fall further behind.

Even McHale mentioned it after the half, that they looked like that team that started the year 10-10 and instead of just shooting jumpers to warm up they should've been practicing driving the ball.

This team has shown that they could be really really good, but only if they all show up ready and willing to play.

Kyrie cant be the defacto leader of his team because his game is based on ball dominance and mediocre defense at best. He doesnt make his teammates better. Horford should be the leader.

Gooner wrote:Kyrie doesn't turn the ball over a lot, you're just making stuff up. He and Morris are the two best players on the Celtics this season, whether you like it or not. The real problem is a guy like Rozier, who thinks he is a star, and he is just chasing his numbers whenever he comes on, so he can get his money in the summer. Celtics are 25-16, not great, but it's not that bad, they can only get better i believe.

You can only blame the media for guys like Rozier and Jaylen thinking they are stars. Perfect example last night after the game when Wade and Rozier exchanged jerseys; the first question from Kristin Ledlow was "what do you see in Rozier's game?" which led to 30 seconds of Wade praising the hell out of him. I don't blame guys like that for getting a big head when the media hypes them up like that.

I don't think Kyrie is suitable to be the playmaker for the team. Maybe the problem OP has with him is that he's forcing something that isn't his game. Kyrie is more like Kobe and Jordan offensively than he is a true PG. He should be used as such.

I think part of making Kyrie happy is playing out this fantasy of his to be the team PG. Once he re-signs I have faith that he will be removed from that role.

Morris is a 6th man gunner in the mould of Speights. He's doing what he should be but maybe getting too many minutes.

Neither of these guys have destroyed Celtic pride. I don't really know what that is but these are great players that may be used incorrectly. I think the coaching may need to be looked at. I know Brad Stevens is a god on here so I doubt anyone agrees.
