Every 3rd page there's some ode to Nets and how good their rebuild is. They should get their thread.

Wade has me slightly scratching my head but you have to remember, this could be his last year. Whatever you want to say about the past 5-6 years from him, cool. But the man is going down as a top 3 SG all time he’ll get that farewell all star start.

Rose is a comeback story, people love comebacks. I’m honestly not even mad.

Who’s he bumping from the MJ West Kobe trio?

It’s ok to appreciate good management.

Not sure a worse hand was dealt to an incoming GM. Maybe one of the older guys have an example to cite but I can’t think of one.

Gonna be interesting to see what they do this summer.

After the game today I don't think I'm trading Kuz for KP. I like KP but his durability will be my main concern if I'm trading Kuz for him. Having said that I think I'll just try having KP through FA.

You can make the argument for him over West but at the very least he’s a top 5 SG all time.

Are Laker's fans all that stupid and entitled in terms of getting other players?

Perry didnt inherit a team situation as bad as Sean Marks did but it is still really bad when it comes to overall perception. FAs dont respect the organization and the team has a long history of signing bigtime players performing way less than their humongous contracts. Just hope that Scott can turn this around.

They are used to it. And they think that's how it works (and it often does for them). They've been doing it well before the Big 3 era. Shaq. Pau to Lakers for peanuts. Nash + Howard to Lakers (though that didn't work out).

True, it's not entirely illogical.

Even Kareem was acquired for cheap

"In 1975, the Lakers acquired Abdul-Jabbar and reserve center Walt Wesley from the Bucks for center Elmore Smith, guard Brian Winters, and rookie "blue chippers" Dave Meyers and Junior Bridgeman."

I mean, damn.

Though I liked Junior Bridgeman...just wow.

Jeez, that is crazy.

I'd used to hate seeing the deals they pulled off, and the Knicks getting fleeced on like 95% of the trades/FA acquisitions. Though I guess it's easier to be patient when you got Kobe and Phil Jackson.
