Joe, Going To The Well To Many Times

Post#1 » by AirPaden » Wed Aug 15, 2007 8:59 pm

Grant it, Mariano is still good, but Joe needs to mix it it a bit more. After the Duncan Homerun I thought for sure we would see Joba. But Noooooooooooo, Joe has to bring in Rivera who was hit hard not to long aog. Oh well, should of , could of would of. I am in the minority here? Did anyone here feel the same way?

the Yanks have given away the last 2 games

first by not starting Kennedy and giving it to a pitcher who would get torched in little league

and today Mo sucking donkey balls

they seriously need to think bout letting Joba be the backstopper if they want to stay in this race

Gotta love Monday Night quarterbacks. This was the perfect situation for Mo, every time we are in this situation Joe always goes to Mo. Mo didn'tr get the job done, but 9 out of 10 times he does.

If Joe brought in Joba or Viz, and they gave up runs, some of you guys would be complaining about why Joe didn't use Mo in this situation. **** happens. Let's just move on. Mo will be fine and the Yankees will be fine.

Just my opinion, but I think that Mo needs a rest. I been in the Health and Fitness industry for over 9 years and the guy is worn down, Period. He will be fine if Joe does not call his number every day. It's funny, they won't let a 21 year old pitch 2 days in a row? but they allow a 37 year old pitch consecutive days. Hard to understand that one. Don't get me worn borther, I love Mo. But Joe has to throw his opponents off every now and then.

Mo will be fine?

not so sure bout that one....blew it today, got bailed out by jeter the other day, scrub Indians scoring off him.....he aint the same anymore...the sooner the yanks recognize this and make joba the closer, the better its gonna be if they want to stay in the playoff race

Mo needs some rest. He got hit hard the other day, and again today. I think he has been worked too much recently and needs some rest. He's not getting any younger.

Oh well, tommorrow is another day!

Agreed. I do think he needs rest. However, I think it's crazy to say that he is done. He's been "done" for the last few years in August according to some people and always rises up from the dead.

Just a blip on the radar. Remember that.

Kandi are you serious with this stuff? Where were you for the last 4 months when Mo didn't blow a save? Now after a couple bad outings he's done? He may need some rest, but come on with this he's done junk.

Yea. Rivera is still effective, but he isnt effective as long as he use 2.

Joe should of told Joba 2 go and pitch...

Hey CMA, I don't recall anyone saying that Mo is done. but he is not nearly as a given as he once once. I do believe that we can all agree to this. Joe needs to recognize this. Bring up the young kids and bank the season on them. Joba has done quite well and perhaps Kennedy can do the same. I do think that if Mo gets adequte rest., he can be a very effective reliever again.

Well to be fair, there were 2 or 3 people that said it after Monday's game. I'd have to go back in the thread to see who it was though.

Abraham Lincoln and Kandi Man, the usual suspects.
