So many players having career nights against the Sixers this season. Really need to get Covington back!

I think lack of national television. His ankle injury his first month held him back, as well as Tim and Kanter, also Mudiay never looks for him. If we strike out on Zion or RJ. Ja Morant will be huge for Knox and KP.

He lowkey looks like Durant. And if I recall Durant was inefficient as well as a rookie. Plus didn’t have guys look him off, otherwise he could be a 20 ppg scorer, inefficiently though ala Durant rookie year. Also the team doctor said can grow another inch or two.

Yup Durant had 1 inefficent season and after that he skyrocketed. Like an unreal skyrocket really.

Knox looks like the next Jabari Parker. Might actually be worse defensively.

Nice game but my God the NBA comes up with some of the most useless "achievements", 6th youngest player to score 30 in a game is just random.

Well he has the worst rpm amoung forwards in the league and a negative win share. He is very good at creating his own shot but he really does have a lot to work on still, including efficiency. He scored thirty yeah but he played 44 minutes and took what, 24 shots? Also didn't have one assist in the game(5% assist % on the season) He would benifit greatly by NY upgraded their pg position.

This is way off. He has the size length and athleticism to be a plus defender down the road. Most of his issues on that end are strength and experience related.

This is also way off and reads like its from someone who's trying to judge a player off statistics alone. He's actually not that good at creating his own shot, at this point he gets most of his points off catch and shoots, attacking close outs and transition.

Knox is def a better defender, hisnability to switch off onto bigger or smaller guys is actually a big strength. Parker though is a better passer, Knox never passes the ball, so his thirty point night isn't really surprising.

Knox can make shots. He's a good rookie, highly productive for his age, I think the question is what else he can learn to do on the floor. He has a long ways to go to become even an average defender in spite of his tools, and he doesn't have much of a floor game/passing. That's what'll elevate him from good player to a great one.

Great to see him healthy and Fiz trusting him. I'm a big fan of his game and really hope he pans out.

He reminds me of KD too. I remember his rookie year being inefficient but did he play out of position at SG? I might be wrong there.

Anyway Knicks got a good one. 19, sheesh.

I don't see any similarities, Knox is more stiff/compact and more of a strait line player. KD was much more smooth, had better handles, was a better defender and a much better passer. KD was also only inefficient from three. I think Blake Griffin befor KD.

He's smaller and weaker than most of the NBA's top 4s and his wingspan size is poor for a player of his height. Can he even defend small forwards 80% of the time on defense?

My goodness when he develop go to moves he’s going to be a huge player. Hitting that James Harden step back to get the 30 piece. His ability to the hoop and his shot is beautiful.

Btw shout out to Luke Kornet. Future bright in New York.

I like Knox, but is this really thread worthy? 6 youngest player to score 30? Like really? How is this even note worthy?

Booker was the youngest to score 70. That's worthy of a thread, this on the other hand is not.

He' plays 3 and guards 3s. He has good size for the position and an average wing span (and he's still growing). His main issue defensively, even at the 3 is that he's scrawny as hell.

Knox also became the second youngest player ever to get 0 assists playing at least 44 minutes in a game. Only Dwight Howard achieved this feat at a younger age.

How come Harden and now Knox can get away with that double step back but Steph got called for a travel?

He's looked really good. He's still growing and once he bulks up a little he has all the tools.

I'm not trying to get my hopes up yet but I love his play style and aggressiveness. I have a friend who trains players pre-draft and said he reminded everyone in his program of Paul George.

Knox got off to a slow start, with an ankle injury and poor body language. He also has more of a quiet personality, and he is not a spectacular player.

He's a natural scorer though. He doesn't impact the game yet and he's a net negative at this stage in his career but he's very talented as a scorer. Once his jumpshot becomes more consistent and he fills out his frame, he could easily average 20 a game. The biggest question mark with him is the motor. It will be interesting to see how hard he works on his game because his skillset needs to expand beyond just being a scorer. He's not providing much else right now, which is fine considering he's only 19.

I wouldn't go as far as saying the Knicks have a bright future though @OP, but this could quickly change in June.

Trae with another double-double today with a 26/10 game! 10 Rebounds though, which is a new high for him. Continues to show improvement.
