The starters have a DRtg of 92.2 over the last 5 games.

Schroder in for Ferg and it's at 126.5...

Basically any lineup with Schroder in it is hemorrhaging points right now.

Also, defensive rebounding sucks with Adams off the floor. With him on DREB% is at 76.2, which as a team would rank us #1 in the league. With him off we're at 68.1%, which would have us dead last.

The 2Pat/Grant front court last year gave-up offensive rebounds for fun, and we're running out Schroder-Diallo-Nader next to these guys, so we better hope they keep shooting lights out because defensively it's gonna be rough.

Noel pretty much is the defence in that 2nd unit - so he needs to get better in a hurry.

Where do I go to see those numbers?

When we look back when Westbrook generation ends a lot of people will talk about the Harden and Durant situations, and rightly so. I think one of the bigger issues that is overlooked is the constant use of assets to move a bad contract/disgruntled player and never really improving the team as a result. Reggie Jackson, Ennis Kanter, Melo and now Dennis Schroder. This has been a big issue in preventing us from getting good role players like the Spurs have.

Presti is very polarizing. I think I'm one of the few that is torn on him. I see his mistakes while acknowledging he does some things pretty well. Sometimes you can make a good trade and it doesn't work out and vice versa. I don't blame Presti for Patterson basically being a bust. Right now it doesn't seem reasonable to blame Presti for whatever is going on with Abrines. Right now it looks like Ferguson is going to be a nice player and Diallo has shown promise for the future even though he can't contribute much. This years team could finish as high as third or miss the playoffs entirely. However if we had some guys like Forbes, White and Bertans I think we could really make some noise this year. Instead too many assets have been used to try to recoup value on guys we shouldn't have wasted time on.

I think the bigger issue when Durant was here is the fact that they continually would pass on signing veteran free agents & would instead bank on young players and draft picks to fill out the rotation.

In the end, they would end up bringing in over the hill guys that didn’t really contribute much (Fisher, Butler, Morrow, etc.)

Seems odd to me though, most parasites aren't that difficult to treat and they're generally not contagious, so they shouldn't cause some team wide freak out as reported.

But his reported weight loss does point there.

TBH I would like to see a lineup of Nader/Abrines/Schroder/Patterson/Noel now that Nader/Pat have found their stroke from outside. That lineup might do some damage (hopefully not to us)

At least he got lucky to get injured just after signing his 30 millions contract. Timing is everything

They would say their are ''optimistic'' too if we asked them about our chances to go to the finals this year so it doesn't mean anything

Yeah, but how do you work him in the rotation? Sounds like isn't back before March at best, you already Ferguson playing incredibly well at his starting position and probably a trade being being made at deadline.

If we get 100% Roberson then it's not that hard, he'll fit right in locking people down like he usually does, but I doubt that's what we get.

If we get 100% Roberson then it's not that hard, he'll fit right in locking people down like he usually does, but I doubt that's what we get.

You give him some of the minutes we have been giving to the scrubs we have on our bench. Hell, give him some of Ferguson's minutes too. It's not like he is setting the world on fire. Just make sure he can handle it physically and that you don't hurt the team by playing him too much. 15 solid minutes would be a nice boost.

45 % from the field (50% on twos) and 71 % from the line over the last 6 for Westbrook. Still just 50 TS, but I'll take it.

five games ago the thunder defense was -7.2 pp100 relative to league average, which was 9th best all-time. after the last five games, that's gone up to -5.3 pp100 relative to league average, barely in the top 50 all-time.

being historically great is a difficult thing to maintain. the thunder are still an elite defense. but not being one of the best ever will make the problems on offense stand out a whole lot more.

not only have the thunder starters been elite over this 1-4 stretch, they've been better than usual, and better than usual on defense. you can't ask for more from that unit.

but look at the four next most used lineups. they are getting stomped. these units all share a common thread: dennis schroder.

you can't blame 20+pp100 difference on one guy. but this has been a pattern all year long. the starters defense alone falls 13.4pp100 just swapping ferguson for schroder on the year. that is a kanter-esque defensive lineup split. during this 1-4 stretch, the thunder are +11.8pp100 with schroder off the court, and -22.8pp100 when he is on the court. yes, the bench sucks, especially without noel, but even the schroder + starters lineup is losing by double digits and there's just not much explanation for that.

he's not as bad as these numbers say, but i think schroder is developing into a lineup cancer nonetheless.
