He did impact games in a serious way before he suddenly disappeared. He was a serious threat offensively for quite some duration and with quite some consistency.

I guess that applies to Carmelo too, heck throw in Luol Deng in there who disappeared literally.

I see your 3/15 and raise it to 1/17 (BTW, only time that a guy that shot at least 17 threes got less than 2). But of course, one of them is called Harden, so it is no problem. Or bricking 26 threes in a row.

The problem is not 3 point shooting, Lakers are middle of the road in 3 point percentage, the problem is continue going for 3s once and again and again when they aren't going down. And it doesn't happen just to the Lakers, just remember last season's game 7s in the conference finals. The Celtics and Rockets lost because they kept bricking one 3 after another instead of playing for something else and only shooting 3s that had a real good look.
