God help us.
vs GSW
vs T-Wolves
vs Suns
vs Sixers
@ LAC
@ GSW
@ IND
@ Celtics
@ 76ers
@ Hawks
-------
That's 4 weeks. Up until the All Star Break. We absolutely need Rondo & LeBron back by that home Philadelphia game.

It's go be the 6, not the 4. He heals slow and **** lingers based off past history

Re: Lonzo out 4-6 weeks with ankle sprain
Everything I've read about Grade 3 ankle sprains says 8-12 weeks. The Lakers have had a propensity for screwing up injury timelines, let's hope they didn't do it again here.

The way it twisted I'd be surprised at 6 weeks and not surprised at 8+. Looked like a "high sprain" and those can be a lot longer.

Re: Lonzo out 4-6 weeks with ankle sprain
Reports also say it involves a ligament tear which won't require surgery. The way he reacted to the injury instantly protecting the ankle from any pressure made me think it was something more severe. I'd be happy with an 8 week absence from him. 6 weeks would be amazing.

well, it's surgery, then it's 6 weeks until he's cleared for practice, then it's probably at least 2-4 weeks of training and practice and getting back in the run of things

They say it won't require surgery. So who knows.

I'd rather they went in and stitched it back together

we'll be fine standings wise if Lebron/Rondo come back within the next couple games ....but it's a damn shame that we won't be at full strength for another 6 weeks...

Re: Lonzo out 4-6 weeks with ankle sprain
The longer it is, the stronger the silver lining; 8-10 weeks of a thousand shots a day from the FT line.
Hear that Lonzo?
That amounts to 64-70K shots available to him until he’s back. I hope he realizes how 80% from the line would change his game completely.
And that’s enough repetitions to change the form a bit. I’d make it an eight week shooting practice and film room marathon.

He had the whole summer to address his FT shooting woes, not just 10 weeks on a bad ankle to boot. Nothing changed.
More like 10 weeks of reality show'ing and fortnite.

Re: Lonzo out 4-6 weeks with ankle sprain
Well, then we should just trade him to the Fortnite league right now.
He can practice flat footed for ten weeks at home. He has enough upper body mechanics to work on from setup to release.
Their summer break was how many weeks before SL training started?

He didn't play in the SL...we ended our season in April, didn't have anything to do with SL and we started again in Oct.
5 solid months off.
DeAndre Jordan shot .580 last year, and .680 this year(on roughly 4 attempts per game), him being a career .459% shooter.
Clint Capela upped his percentage yearly from .379 to .531 to .560 to .626 this year.
And there are other examples of terrible FT shooters who have improved with work or tweaks on their shots.
Ball has regressed. And when you regress from .451% you better damn start working on you shot. But again, he probably won't and do exactly what I said he would.

If he does, let’s trade him right away. This is not kindergarten.

Does anybody else feel that it is a matter of time before Ball gets hurt EVERY season... I saw the game and watched the play but it is EVERY year with this kid... I love his advanced stats & total impact on the game (plus minus player) but he will never play 82 games...

Bit of a wierd statement indeed, but he has been known to be injury prone, even for a sophomore. Could be nutrition or lack of strengthening exercises.
