Pacers Sign Stephan Hicks to 10 Day Contract

The Indiana Pacers announced Sunday they have signed 6-6 forward Stephan Hicks to a 10-day contract.

Hicks, undrafted out of Cal State-Northridge, has been with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Pacers' affiliate in the NBA G League, since 2015. This season he has started 26 games for the Mad Ants, averaging 16.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

McMillan said it was a way of showing appreciation for his hard work with the Mad Ants, but considering we can't even have Sumner, Holiday and Alize hit the floor, not sure about this move.

Well, he does play a different position than the other guys, so there's that. Maybe it just gives him a chance to show if he can maintain his level of production when playing with the "big boys"? Maybe another team would be interested in including him as filler in a future trade? Or maybe McM was just being honest about it?

Was he even with the team last night? If not, I wonder if weather conditions or even schedule, played a factor?

He’s essentially untradeable in the nba this year. Ten day contracts are not tradeable, and we won’t gain bird rights to S&T him from a 10 day contract.
