It seems to me like the rookie wall usually hits guys between the turn of the year and the all-star break. I expect Miles to turn it up again eventually and by the end of the season have added a bunch of nice games more akin to what we were seeing early in the year (or better).

If by the end of the season he still looks like this I'll be more concerned. He seems like a good pick to me, solid starter type. His shot is fine, it's mechanically sound and I have no doubt with work he can bring the % up. To me the knock on Miles is how clueless he looks at times, at 20 that's understandable but I hope by next season onwards he looks more assertive.

I'm not hung up on comparing him to SGA because we clearly weren't picking SGA except to trade him, plus Mitch obviously was looking to add the 2nd so he could target Graham who has looked like a gem.

SGA has also hit the rookie wall lately, barely playing and the coach says he is not ready. Dudes get tired playing this many games when they are young and not used to the grind. I liked the flashed Miles shows and think he will be a nice player in a year or two.

“We don’t call a lot of plays for him (Bridges), so it’s not easy,” Parker said. “Tonight (Vs the Kings) we called plays for him, and he was very aggressive and got to the basket and got fouls, so that’s what we want. It depends on the games, but tonight I like what I saw.”

Well, well, well......

He should start over Batum or at least play as much as he does.

That’s a shame. I think he’ll suck.

I think he’s a better in game dunker than showtime dunker.

Yep, Monk is a better showman. Bridges just looks like your typical dunker.

I am happy he is doing it, winning the dunk contest could be a big boost to his confidence and trade value. Rest of NBA might actually take notice of him.

Think he has a real shot at winning.

Both of them should participate in the Dunk Contest. It would increase the chances of a Hornet winning the event and it would be a delight for the local fans.

So far it’s him, Derrick Jones jr and John Collins. So yeah I think he has a shot

Well, he IS a few months into his rookie season, so obviously our fans want to trade him.

Does George Shinn run most of the accounts on here? Is there a player this fanbase doesn't want traded?

I mean, of all things, we finally get a guy in the dunk contest and the first two comments are "that's a shame, he's gonna suck," and "hopefully he does well so it boosts his trade value." I swear, these people are the 2011-12 Bobcats of fans.

This place is an absolute cesspool. I'm often frustrated too, but if the team were operated like the posters on here (some mods, even) suggest, we'd just trade our whole roster for draft picks every damn offseason, and then we'd trade all those draft picks the following January for more draft picks because our draft picks sucked.

I definitely, don't want to trade Bridges. I think he is going to be really good and he is already our most exciting player in transition and acrobatics.

Just got back from LA, went to Clips-GSW at Staples, Boogie's first game back. Just some impressions:

1. SGA is going to be a star. That's going to be his team for a long time. He was abusing Curry so much on the offensive end, that the Warriors had to switch Durant onto him. The whole time, I'm thinking, "We could have had him, Kemba, and Lamb."

2. Warriors are pretty unfair. They were just toying with the Clips, a good team, for the whole game. Klay and Draymond were invisible, and it didn't matter.

3. There were literally 80% Warrior fans in Staples for a Clipper home game. The bandwagon is huge.

4. The Clippers in game experience kills any game I've been to at Spectrum Center. I know it's LA, so there's more glitz and showbiz, but it was a stark contrast.

I think I'm at the point where we start Miles to see what he can do. I'm not opposed to starting Kemba, Monk, Lamb, Miles, and Marv until Cody gets back. Bring Batum off the bench with TP, MKG, Billy/Biz.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

If you are going to quote me, actually quote me. Don't pick and chose your words and then change mine in order to spin your narrative.

I said "That’s a shame. I THINK he’ll suck".

I expressed an opinion. You positioned it as if it were a statement of fact.

Do you watch the dunk contest? Do you understand the difference between an in game dunker and a dunk comp dunker?

Doesn't mean I like Bridges any less or that I am attacking him, just means I don't think he'll do well in a dunk comp.

Miles Bridges doesn't seem like the type of dunker that people drop their mouths and go 'did he just do that???'

Almost all of his dunks look thunderous because he's a big boy, but he's not going to get up as high as someone like Derrick Jones Jr. The Dunk Contest is all about that signature dunk.

Found this video of some of what he's done. It's impressive, but I just don't know if he'll win it unless the other guys don't show anything.

Odd to attack you on this subject. You've been one of his biggest fans since day 1.
