I don't see either of those two going anywhere unless it's for some kind of unforeseen blockbuster of a deal. McNeil is going to get a lot of OF time and Alonso will probably get his call up in May at which point it'll be on him to determine how much playing time he gets.
The interesting thing will be if (1) Alonso tears the cover off the ball in ST and Frazier can't hit the barn with a banjo, or (2) Frazier starts off the season with 8 HRs in April and Alonso struggles in AAA.
alonso is starting 1b opening day if he hits.
don't be too sure that todd frazier will be on the team, brodie's mets are thinking of the future -- 2 way players. jd davis can pitch, so they might carry him as both an inf/pitcher.
