4 guys ranked at 10 or better that I’d love to have but don’t see Pack signing any of them for a variety of reasons.

5) Trey Flowers DE Pats

10) C.J. Mosley IB Bal

However either or both Smiths would be great or any/all of the below. IF we release everyone Matthews, Cobb, Bulaga etc we have talked about we could afford all 5.

22 Daryl Williams, OT, Carolina – injury risk

I think I read online that two are going to be in Wembley and 2 are going to be in the new White Hart Lane - as long as they can actually finish it on time, of course.

What do you guys make of DK Metcalf...having a hard time comping him, but he kind of looks like a smaller version of Calvin Johnson to me??

I don't know what you're supposed to make of him. He ran vert routes and was only targeted six times a game. As much as I'd love a freak WR in the Moss mold, there's no denying that the most successful WRs the last couple years have been the smaller, shiftier, open space guys.

I think it is more of a pairing, and I am not necessarily advocating for us to draft DK, just has some interesting highlights. Similar to how a Mike Evans opens the middle of the field for Humphries, I think DK has that kind of Evans role. Also should note, I am not saying DK is like the next coming of Calvin, I don't watch enough college football to even have an opinion, purely trying to figure a comp based on those highlights.

MM’s loyalty wounded the team and their capacity to grow on numerous occasions. It’s unfortunate. It’s a very redeeming quality. Wayyyyyy too late on Capers. Wayyyyyy too lenient with Zook. You saw the same thing with his playbook.

I don’t blame LaFleur for bypassing Rizzi - another man who interviewed for HC. He is surrounding himself with young men who are in many cases getting their first chance at a coordinator role after assistant positions. Gonna wait and see how this pans out.

That's interesting. With Cobb likely gone, the Packers really need a small, quick slot guy. Right now, it's just a bunch of really tall guys. Those guys are good, but it feels like every offense needs a shifty slot receiver.

Cole Beasley is going to the Patriots and becoming their next Edelman/Welker. A small shifty guy who makes 100 catches for 1100 yards and seems to make every big play.

Eric Weddle might be cut, any thoughts about bringing him in on a two year deal? I am not sure how well he has held up over the years, but I remember really liking him as a player

I think he said he would retire if he was cut.

Just saw on profootball talk he has backed off that claim...just don't know if the wheels feel off on him or not

Big decisions with existing albatross contracts coming up soon I think.

On Jimmy Graham - already talk he's gone. If you look at his contract, if you remove the $5.3 mil roster bonus this year it's not terrible compared to just cutting him. Maybe he'd consider that in exchange for a guarantee of his salary for this year, but you cut him and it costs you 7.3 mil, or remove the roster bonus and he plays for you at a cost of 7 mil.

On Nick Perry - basically the same thing. Remove the $5 mil roster bonus, and he plays for $9 mil or you cut him and it costs you $11 mil

No clue what you do with Mike Daniels, but he's been useless since getting paid.

Need to pay Blake Martinez and Kenny Clark next year

Here's how I"m hoping the rest of the off-season works out:

Re-work Graham / Perry deals as above.

Draft - first 3 picks go OLB (pass rush), o-line, offensive weapon, then I'll just trust Gute.

FA - bring back CM3, Wilkerson on rational deals, let Cobb walk (dude has robbed us), sign a veteran safety for a reasonable deal, and try to hit on some vets on smaller deals, SPECIFICALLY a veteran backup QB (stop trying to develop guys behind Rodgers, need someone who can step in and actually play occasionally, now).
