i think they can actually a good point or a wing in this draft but they are going to have to make a tough decision in the frontcourt.
For sure but they have some time. I just can’t see them trading Vuc or letting him walk. You just don’t let an up and coming Allstar get away.

They do. We shall see but I think Vuc sticks as there would be a lot of ticked off people if he left.

There should be a room for Dragić (probably backing up Dončić - you must've mistyped Teo twice), but PF rotation is very solid on both sides on floor (Mirotić/Šarić are both very underrated defenders) and C is stacked.
Personally was hoping to trade for Zubac as buy low candidate here, thinking he might grow into Vučević-like center.

I wouldn’t blame him one bit for going to a team that can get him the title he deserves.
Why does Vuc "deserve" a title? He's been a solid player for us for the last 6 years but he's not really a team leader, he expressed displeasure switching roles to coming off the bench, and he has not carried this team to a + .500 record since he arrived.
Guys who "deserve" a title IMO are guys like TMAC - sure he stupidly demanded a trade when we drafted D12, but that guy carried us to the playoffs, scoring titles, and overall exciting times.

Vuc is not in either of those categories (talent or heart) to "deserve" a title.

Pepe you've gotta admit he's been really crappy in the final 5 minutes of games over the last couple months, despite having a career year and carrying the team.
Last 5 min of every basketball game comes down to executing plays. In normal situations it's guard or wing with ball in his hands , not center.
Since Magic guards are bad, wings can't even run with ball he gets ball in his hands and yes, results are not great.
Even tonight he lead team in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals and only starting PG had more assists. What else you want from your center? To cock you a dinner at HT ?
Evan played terrible tonight, Gordon was meh at best, Bamba menaged to have +/- of -13 in 15 min, only Isaac and Simmons had good games. On NEts, Dinwiddie, Russell and Carrol combined for 73 points
I agree with everything you're saying. Evan sucks. Our guards sucks. AG had a bad game. Bambi is a net loss on the court. Vuc carries the team through most games. But hopefully even you can see that something is different with Vuc at the end of games, maybe it's jitters, but he takes low percentage shots and misses most of them under 5 minutes.
The problem is he's not a #1 option. But if we get him 1 or 2 guys to be better than him, we'll be top 5 in the East. Conley, Beal, McCollum, Butler... I don't know, try to do something

This is not a position he should be in to begin with. We should have guard/wing as a closer, capable iso scorer and shooter - not a center. Our every opponent in crunch knows where the ball goes if Ross' coin is tails.

Still not sure how any of that means that he "deserves" a title. It's totally subjective though so if you think that - awesome.
Are we sure he's going to be an all star this year?

Would be nice to see us take a run at him.
The Nets would match any offer on Russell. Marks views him as the future of the franchise. but it wont ever get to an offersheet. The nets have 30+ in cap room. they will agree to a deal with russell for whatever he wants prior to the start of FA... use their cap space, then go over to sign russell.
Russell wants to stay, similar to Joe Harris last year. I dont think he will even consider other offers. Nets want him back and will pay him the max. He wants to be in brooklyn. Signing an offer sheet only means russell will have less talent around him cause then we cant use our cap space.
I didn’t realise there were so many ways to say the same thing but it turns out there is!

I know its awsome because its my opinion and i dont need validation from anyone. Why didnt you answer the question? Does Mo have heart? Well he barely has a heartbeat so poor example.
I know you dont want him to be an All Star but yes hes already an all star based on the ALL STAR numbers hes putting up. The actual team is a joke because its a popularity contest not a reflection of a players great season which is sad Because alot of guys get snubbed.
The fact is If it were anyone else on this team it wouldnt be a question, and one quip about not agreeing to come off the bench behind clearly inferior talent wouldn't be an issue. Everyone in here knows that's true.

LMAO! Get a load of this guy!
If you didn’t need validation from anyone you wouldn’t bother seeking out a message board to share your opinions.
Don’t worry, I’ll validate you. You’ve got some reasonable opinions in there amongst some unreasonable ones. You’re a competent basketball fan. Well done.

Sorry man - I honestly thought your questions were rhetorical and it clearly doesn't matter what my opinion is. I don't hate Vuc and I think he's been a solid player for us - he's way exceeded his expectations - and he'll probably go down as a top 10 Magician when he's done.
It just hasn't been winning basketball. And sure, a lot of that is the supporting cast, but at some point, you gotta win to be someone in this league. Maybe he'll go to another team and dominate. Maybe we'll learn he was just putting up great numbers on a bad team for years.

Interesting that BK views Russell as the anchor to the franchise.
I certainly like the guy and would love to have him in Orlando, but I don't know that he's good enough to be the cornerstone of a team.
I don’t see any reason why anyone would consider any individual player of BIG a cornerstone and not see DLo as a cornerstone.
Forget wingspan, length, flashy dunks, all that.. he’s a good basketball player that fits the modern NBA well. He’s 22 and a big part in winning his team games
It’s just semantics.
