First, I want to clarify, I know FO is saying Parsons will be part of a deal with Gasol or Conley, that is just plain too much money moving around, my best guess is they stretch him this offseason or come to a buyout agreement. That being said this is my 4 team trade scenario (of course it can be seperate trades, it would just mean flipping this player/pick for that player/pick later, but this is the big picture)

Why Pistons do it:
It costs them what is most likely going to be 2 late 1rst round draft picks and they pick up a conley who is better than jackson, who is seriously been struggling recently and might just need a change of scenery, and it switches out drummond who has not paired well next to Griffin, and is currently injured, with Jordan who has played with Griffin at a high level for many years, I believe this makes the Pistons easily one of the top teams in the East as it is very similar to the team the Clippers had used over the last few years to be good in the West.
Why Dallas does it:
They switch out Smith Jr who has had a falling out with the coach and Jordan who is older and not trending toward their rebuild for low risk contracts in a proven player of Illyasova and gives Reggie Jackson a try without tying them up with too much long term money, it also lends them a selection of late draft picks to add some young depth to their rebuilding roster
Why Bucks do it:
Bledsoe hasnt been great this year, mack will be able to do a very comparible job, it also takes this Bucks team from a playoff team to a win now team with the addition of Gasol, for basically the cost of 2 rotation players and 3 2nd round picks, Gasol not only gives them a solid defensive anchor in the paint, but can open up the floor on offense being one of the best passing bigs.
Why Memphis does it:
Bledsoe and Ish Smith are both expiring contracts, if they play well, great, if not, it moves over 20M off the books. Drummond I have always believed is a solid old school big which lends itself to the Grizzlies playstyle, and I have a feeling he and JJJ will play well together, especially defensively, also Drummond is only 25. Brogdan is not the best player, but he has a high basketball iq and a background at UVA, a team that plays similar to the current Grizzlies, which makes him a solid option for making the transition from a 6th man to competing with Brooks for the starting 2 spot, also having the ability to play the 1 for periods of time. Denis Smith Jr is a solid player, he could easily be the starting point guard of the Grizzlies future, though still raw right now at only 21, but he can easily grow with JJJ to build a Conley-Gasol esque longterm playing career, while always having Jevon be the backup point guard we never had (Beno and chalmers were close).

Re: 4 Team Trade idea, NOT parsons
Memphis is the only one who would say yes in that deal I think. Too much to give up for the Bucks, Dallas would want to keep their capspace plus get more for DSJ, and Drummond plus two 1sts is too much for Conley and a DeAndre rental though they are the closest of the three to agreeing.

Re: 4 Team Trade idea, NOT parsons
I agree the Mavs portion was a bit unsure, I think they might try jackson out and if he doesnt work this year move off his expiring next year, which I feel like isnt terrible since I doubt Mavs or Grizz are looking to contend next year, i think Jordan stays with Pistons w/ Blake there, its an older team, and they are kind of tossing away a few firsts, but I think its kind of a contend now mode and I agree i think despite the high cost they pull the trigger just to be in win now mode. Bucks 2nd round picks probably arent going to project super high depending on what Washington does really, Gasol is definitely large upgrade on illyasova, but I will agree Brogdan is a good bench player, and bledsoe isnt dead weight, I dont think this is a deal you do today, but maybe closer to the deadline you consider it if other options for your team (mavs/bucks) dry up and what your relationship with DSJ looks like in a week or so.

Re: 4 Team Trade idea, NOT parsons
Answered the one in other thread. But want to add. DSJ did a big mistake to be "sick" when Barea went down. Brunson showed he fits perfect as 2nd PG in Carlysles system. If he hadnt been "sick" he would have played PG alot during that time. Now Brunson just showed that he is a better fit the DSJ in the system as PG. And Mavs called up Macon and started to get minutes too. So dont think 17m for RJ as backup pg is something Mavs want to put money on. Also PF is pretty stacked both now and for future with Powell, Kleber, Kostas Ant. and Spalding.
Also with barnes having a PO this summer, its kinda hard to say where the holes are. If he opts out they need to get a SF. And always a need of SG and C. But Mavs got high hopes for DSJ, so they wont give him away cheap

As a piston fan I'd have to decline. 1. Blake and Deandre already had some time together. Not sure we want to revisit. I'd rather have the older Gasol at this point. If a 2019 pick was included, it's a lottery pick. Could be a high lottery pick. Might consider more if it was a 2020 and 2022 pick.
From what we hear it is conley and filler for rj, this years lottery pick, and hearing luke kenard might be involved.
Personally if Luke is involved I'd prefer next years pick with no protections and we keep this years to get a sf as we have none.
With a strong leader at pg, the hope is Andre will become a man instead of a soft manchild.
Gasol and conley for Andre and RJ and either Luke or a draft pick is more than fair. Helps you rebuild and get younger. while we lose most our youth and bet it all on Gasol and conley helping us win the east.
conley
langston galloway
Bullock
Blake Griffin
Gasol
and a weak bench. Doesn't look too intimidating does it. Good, but not really really good.
