This lottery has the chance to be hella random. I expect the worst.

The odds say you shouldn't expect the worst. But they don't say it can't happen.

no idea why IND would do that tho.

Maybe if you attach Burke so they get a pg replacement?

I don't see Indiana really doing anything though. You can't replace what Vic brings to them given their assets... They're probably better off riding it out and hoping Oladipo comes back full form next year. Unless they see Tim as a guy they still want long term (entirely possible although this board acts like he's the worst player on the planet)

Hardaway, who was a candidate for Most Improved Player this year after being a first-team All-Rookie as a Knick, is a better fit than Dion Waiters. Mills went after Waiters first because the Syracuse product is unrestricted.

dude was determined to get us a low bbiq chucker by any means

Waiters / Ellington for THJ.

5+ in cap space plus Mills still meets his chucker quota

The odds are that the worst is less likely, that's all I'm saying. Of course it can happen, but why expect a less likely scenario? That's called pessimism bias.

Accept it could happen, but don't expect it to happen.

If we have a good pick, yeah.
If we fall out the bottom of the lottery, then it's just going to be a whole lot of drinking and banging our heads.

thats my point. The anticipation leading up to them selecting where teams will pick I will be a complete mess :lol:

But I'm feeling better about the talent in the top 5. Everyone who's counting on Zion coming here will be salty and won't be happy with our pick ... you know it's coming BK. :lol:

Top 3 pick we are blessed. Zion, RJ, Or Morant I will not complain. If we fall to 4 its a disaster.

i tried. couldn't find anything that made sense even for lee.

i think they like cory joseph. he and KO are the only players expiring that could help with cap relief. sending lee home to indianapolis would be fitting and nice.

Best I got:

Lee + Vonleh + HOU SRP (+ Lance?) <---> Knight + Chriss + HOU FRP (+ Nene?) <---> Parker/RoLo
we get an expiring, bulls get the FRP & 2019-2020 salary, Houston bolsters its depth while shaving down their tax bill.

Lee + Vonleh (+ HOU SRP?) <---> Patterson + Albrines (+ Diallo?)
cuts 7M (6.5M) and stretching Patterson's 5.7M would cut another ~3.8M off our books if needed.

Lee + Vonleh to rockets

Knight to a 3rd team along with the rockets 2019 1st round (bulls/CLE)

Expirings to the knicks

Kanter to the kings
Parker to the knicks
Z-bo and Koufus to the Bulls

I think these are the most likely trades (maybe a buyout of kanter if the other deal just isn't shuffling the cards enough for the 3 team)

I don't see how the knicks move timmy unless a team secretly loves him. It makes no sense to attach a major asset without knowing what we will be spending on. So Timmy should stay at least until the offseason. Prioritize moving Lee with Vonleh (to a playoff team). Then you have enough for any max. If you need to improve you chances at pulling a second FA to bring in KD/Kawhi/Kyrie...then you move Timmy + a protected 1st rounder in the offseason but you get there when you get there.

I won't stop praying for a Mudiay for PHX SRP trade until the deadline passes or Sarver sells that team :lol:

That HOU deal you've been working on is easily the most plausible NYK dump I've seen on this board.

Now we just need Philly to offer Memphis Fultz & the Bulls SRP for Temple + Green, so the rockets can give up their hopes of landing that package with Knight + Chriss + FRP :lol:

Who would tie 13 million in next year’s money to an undersized forward who hasn’t played most of the year? If the purpose was to have Lee traded for expiring, we should have at least played him for couple of weeks.
