Yeah, I didn't understand the rotations. Seemed like Brooks only played Bryant when Cousins was on the court. I get going small, but Dekker was useless.

Valiant effort. Just a little too much hero ball from Beal and others down the stretch and Scott Brooks' mind numbing treatment of Bryant.

This game was a confluence of factors, but I think Porter and Beal (and I should emphasize Porter) missing so many open looks, bad reffing, and free throws are atop the list. Porter was straight up garbage tonight, no getting around that. And damn they got to do better at stopping the Beal-Durant match up.

Honestly though, this GS lineup is so chicken **** I can’t even watch it. It’s above the Miami Big Three at this point by leaps-and-bounds of chicken shitism. Curry acts like he won ten championships, he won one without adding Durant after blowing a 3-1 lead to a mediocre team. I kind of hope Harden knocks them out. Can’t believe I’m saying this.

Yep. Dekker on Cousins was vintage Brooks.

Good effort tonight.

Never gonna beat this team.

Dang though. Had Decker made that layup...

Porter sucks.

Very impressed with the effort tonight, esp. Randle, Sato, TB and Ariza. Sure, you can pick things apart. Beal 1 for 9 from 3 and Otto 0-7 from 3. You can't win when your two best players shoot that poorly from 3pt against the best team in the league. Now matter how crappy Dekker was on the offensive end. I'm really blown away by how well Ariza is playing and hopefully EG will take advantage and try and get something for him.

But yes, it is so Brooks to leave Dekker on Boogie and not get Bryant back in the game, who should be playing more than 21 minutes but hey, it's good for the semi-tank. :D

Beal keeps playing 40 minutes and handles the ball half the time. I bet his perimeter shooting percentage will keep decreasing.

I don't get people going ga-ga for some glorified All-Star team/Globetrotters. Yes, they play the right way and they try and leave the egos at the door. Give Kerr credit for that because he understands stars and egos when he played for the Bulls. But all the phonies with their fandom bandwagon shi-t does make me sick. But I won't root for Harden either. Maybe CP3 but he's now become Mr. Glass to add to his chokedom.

Brooks is just mind numbingly bad with his rotations, bigs especially. As soon as he saw Cousins coming in he shoulda swapped Dekker our for Bryant or even Mahinmi. Dekker too small and there wasnt a true shot blocking help defender at either forward spot.

Real off-game for Porter. I think if he played better we woulda won. Bryant is just such a find, we need to re-sign. If he walks im done with this team.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Bryant should be playing 30+ every night. His production in only 20 minutes was once again, ridiculous

Agreed on the above. To win this game (or to even be close), I thought we would need great games from Beal and Porter. Neither had great games and Porter had a terrible game and we were still close. Goes back to PIF's "Why have we gotten better?" thread.

If we were to do a POTG thread for a loss, I'd give it to Sato followed by Bryant and Ariza.

Sato's first quarter was nothing short of amazing.

Absolutely, but Chasson Randle deserves a little love too....

Fun game to watch. Just a few more makes by Beal & Porter, & we'd really have challenged them.

Their bench went 12-16 including a 3-pointer. & 9-11 from the FT line. Wow...

How about Alfonzo McKinnie -- what a find!!

edit: ... Oh, and Kevon Looney has turned into exactly the terrific player, CCJ & I predicted he'd be back around the 2015 draft!

:)

I'm also really happy to see Kenneth Faried doing what he does well as a member of the Rockets. I'm going to try and have more fun, predicting like I tried in the past. PIF, this helped lift my spirits. ALOHA.
