I think Melvin Frazier's 12 3 pointers in a row could've been an NBA record? Not sure if any NBA player has ever done this.

I'm doing research myself by looking through his g-league box scores. Maybe I'm missing something.

Maker doesn't make me that excited. We've already got his skills between Isaac and Bamba. Especially if we plan on keeping and re-signing Vooch, Maker doesn't do a lot for us.

G league stats are worthless when you compare them to nba.

Jordan McRae is G league's leading scorer averaging 29,8 ppg, who's nba career average, over 68 games is 3,8 ppg on 39% FG.

Vander Blue, G league's MVP from two years ago tried to play for 3 different NBA teams with zero success.

G league pool of talent is terrible, it's made of players who:
a) don't get any serious offer from nba, Europe or China
b) players who live in bubble thinking that playing for G league of XY NBA team will mean coaches of that team will notice him ( almost never happens)
c) guys like Frazier and two way contracts, who are payed like actual nba players, just play in g league.

Good for Frazier that he makes some shots, but it really means nothing for his nba career or future performance.

Id move Vuc for Thon so he can have a chance at the title. Then we can enjoy people overrating him on account of long arms.

I’m not disagreeing that the standard of competition is much lower in the G League, but that’s the most clueless display of statistics I’ve ever seen. Comparing a season scoring average (and career high) as a featured starter playing 36mpg vs career averages (in which he averaged 9mpg and never more than 11mpg in one of his limited seasons)? Of course his scoring numbers will be significantly lower, did you really expect him to be putting up 29ppg in 9mpg? Or did you just expect people to gobble that up as some kind of intelligent insight?

Using his per36 numbers, I can cherry pick right away that he averaged over 18ppg as a rookie. I’m not making that case, but I’d say it’s a much fairer comparison than 36mpg vs 9mpg.

Really makes me question your ability to interpret numbers and doesn’t surprise me why you get so down on our young prospects. Either that or you intentionally misrepresent data for some unknown reason.

Frazier has an NBA skill already, defense. If he can make can make 3's he's got a chance. Pepe is trying to compare him to high usage players in the g league and says look stats mean nothing.

What other player in any league has made 12 3 pointers in a row? He also has what a 7'2" wingspan and plays 2 guard.

You missed point. As usual.
G league stats ,games and performance are worthless when you look how somebody will translate in NBA. Most of elite G league players are fringe nba players with proven track record of inability to play in nba. That's why i used "best " G league players and how they did during their NBA gigs.

As for "most 3 pointers made in a row" - Klay Thompson made 10 and that's tied as most 3 with Chandler Parsons and Ty Lawson as most 3s made in a row in single game ever.

lol, really have nothing to add. Comming from guy who thinks Payton has good motor ,i'll take every cheap jab at me as compliment.

I don't mind playing him over Iwundu, Simmons and Grant, but Clifford sees him at practice every day, so i assume he simply isn't good enough to play right now ( not like 3 alternatives are...)

So, what G league players have made it (not rehabbing, etc)? Isn't Simmons the most well-known?

Also, I'd take a shot on Bol at a deep bargain price, or better yet, part of a Brogdon or Divencenzo deal. Frazier was a pretty high pick...bring him up already. Maybe the plan is to trade Vuc (Ross, Evan, or whomever), embrace the youth movement (some would call Tank), then call up a more confident Frazier

I was thinking the other day.....what if Hawks luck into the #1 pick and the Dallas pick for the Doncic trade conveys (top 5 pro) and they end up with Zion and Bol!

Trae
Huerter
Zion
J.Collins
Bol

Could be a fun league pass team next year!

Hawks have a brighter future than the Magic. I’d honestly take Trae, Collins, Huerter & Spellman over Isaac AG and Bamba.
