A week before the trade deadline, classy. Seems very clearly motivated to get New Orleans to accept a deal from the Lakers under pressure and keep Boston out of the bidding.

Hopefully the Pelicans do an Orlando with Dwight and refuse to trade until this time is right.

I’m not holding my breath though. LeBron once again destroying teams for his own gain. Can’t wait til that selfish **** is done playing.

Other possibility is that someone makes a ridiculously strong offer - Denver? Philly? - and a deal gets done.

Don’t underestimate how much some of these teams bow down to the Lakers.

This is the same franchise that was ready to gift CP3 to the Lakers

AD controls this, Ainge is never going to put enough into a trade if AD is hellbent on going to LA

You don't trade the house for a guy that could leave in a year, LA has the guarantee probably, dunno what AD wants, but there is an easy path for him to get his ass to the Lakers if that's his goal, just say hell no to the idea of re-signing elsewhere

One reason to request a trade now is that it happens while the team is losing, Davis has been out and it's clear how weak the roster is, so it keeps him looking sympathetic. It also guards against New Orleans making desperation moves now or in free agency to make the team marginally better.
