Clippers, Jazz, Nuggets, Sixers are dark horse teams imo. Each of them have guys NOP might be interested in, and are winning clubs that will have enough left to still win.

NO would be smart to wait until the offseason and take Bostons offer though.
The problen for Boston is now they now Davis prefers LA. Its pretty obvious to everyone. So what are they really willing to give up for a player who may leave to play with Bron in a year.
The real question is which teams would trade for a player who would leave in a year in a half. I think Toronto is on the top of that list of those teams who would be willing to give up good assets for a rental.
Yup.
The problem for BOS is if they deal for him next year, they will be giving up a lot for a guy who can just walk away for nothing after the season.
Teams that trade for him now can take two runs at a title before he's a FA.

I could see Clippers trying and willing to take chance he stays. Sixers dont make sense, and i dont think Jazz and Nuggets would be teams he would resign with so would they really only want a rental and give up assets i doubt it.

Well we know his agent prefers LA. I imagine AD wouldnt have a problem with it, but he may be more open to other teams.

sixers don't have anyone unless they give simmons, they won't. Clippers have good players but asset wise aren't amazing, only the canadian kid really would interest the pelicans and he's delon wright 2.0. Nuggets im not so sure.
The pelicans are going to want a blue chip young player and none of those teams have that.

No tampering here, right... this league’s rules are a complete joke.
The big markets outside of Boston, Golden State have been suffering the past few years. Anything to reinvigorate the Lakers the league, ESPN are all on board for. Even if there's tampering, collusion involved. The league is just gifting LeBron a superstar essentially.

I don't understand what this magical Boston offer is going to be. Sure, they have young pieces and picks, but are they going to surrender them all for one year of Davis? Or does adding Davis mean Kyrie will automatically re-sign?

AD would likely re-sign with Boston and he gets to dominate the east and make finals runs for the foreseeable future.
People have to remember that winning is more important for players than warm weather

I am PERFECTLY fine with giving up Spicy for AD KNOWING he's leaving.
2 kicks at the can with AD/Kahwi is more than any Raptor fan could ask for. We'd probably have to give up JV, OG and a future lottery pick (after AD and Kahwi leave) but whatevs.

Re: OT: WOJ: Anthony Davis requests trade; no intention of resigning with Pelicans
Wow, they really screwed the Pelicans here. I bet Rich Paul and Davis told them about wanting a trade weeks ago and are turning up the pressure to get one done by releasing this information. I mean, it's through Woj so it's most certainly made with a plan.
Time for Bobby and Masai to make their mark.
Not many truly contending teams that can afford to trade their young guys. Just looking at top 4 seeds, in the East we have Milwaukee, Toronto, Indiana, and Philly. The Bucks don't have young guys with high ceilings. Middleton is good but he's probably as good as he is going to get and Brogdon isn't someone who is going to be even the second best player on your team. Indiana is probably not an option with Oladipo out. Philly is probably the best option for the Pelicans IF they can get Simmons. That's a really tough trade for me to make if I'm the Sixers. First, who knows how Embiid and Davis would co-exist. Second, Simmons and Embiid could take you to the Finals for 5+ years since they have Joel locked up and Simmons will be RFA in two years. With Davis they might only have one year with him (like us with Kawhi).
As far as Toronto, I would put everyone on the table except for Kawhi (obviously). You can surround Kawhi and Davis with 3 pylons and they might still be favourites to come out of the East (okay, a bit hyperbolic). Seriously though, anyone should be available. The asset that would have been the most difficult to give up is Pascal and AD is clearly the type of player you do that for. Future picks as well are not a problem to give up since we have cap room coming.
NOP might not want to trade Davis in the West but for sake of argument the top 4 seeds are currently GSW, Denver, OKC, and Portland. Maybe we should go top 5 to add the Rockets.
GSW would just be unfair; I don't even want to consider it. Denver would have to give up Jokic - tough call in my mind. OKC can't do it because they'd probably have to give up George. Would Portland move Lillard? Is he even enough? I don't think McCollum is if Lillard isn't on the table. Houston doesn't have the assets.
I don't see why any team that isn't likely to make a Conference Finals would trade for Davis when they can look to sign him in free agency (a team like the Clippers or Lakers for example).
Man, if Bobby and Masai can pull this off....

Think about it AD is rich paul guy, hes going to LA regardless after next year. Playing a year with Kyrie and Horford and Smart is not changing that. Alot is up in the air, will kyrie resign? How well does that team do without Brown and Tatum. They may or may not come out of the east, they would still have hayward who they would have to play so how will the team gel. No guarantee he re-signs in Boston.

Unless they deal Tatum their potential package is a lot less enticing now.
Jaylen Brown + all their 1sts don't look as great now considering Brown has taken a step back and their picks won't be elite given how SAC and LAC have played.
Like you said, they may not even want to give up much for a player who can walk after the season.

He’s not leaving money on the table to go to a less winning situation
