If this doesn't shake him nothing will.

Not his personality. If anything I could see all the criticism shaking his confidence. Dude just seems to be unable to get over the mental hurdle.

Dude gets tilted so hard. It's ironic because it's a huge thing in Esports/videogames. You get tilted mentally and you will lose over and over again. You would think he'd be the complete opposite mentally.

I am from Indiana so I am a Pacers fan as well as Celtics. (and Bulls)

Anyhoo.

IMO Hayward is ahead of where PG13 was.

Here is the problem IMO. Most of the time the other players cut him out. I have seen numerous back-cuts, wide open by 2 yards under the hoop, no pass to him. After a while I bet it gets to him.

Celts brass has to deal with the situation. Either try and trade Hayward or tell the team to share the ball or get benched.

Hayward is a problem way more ways than just his physical/mental game. We got some social stuff going on that for some reason he is not blending with this team.......

(In my Columbo voice) .... 1 more thing....

Where are Hayward's teammates defending him, his efforts etc..... Dick move by GS and the reporter for anonymous crap. With that said the Celtics teammates silence speaks volumes to me.

Forcing the team to share the ball with him is not the answer.

Arguably if his recovery is half mental half physical then absolutely it will help. Plus it "let's him see the ball go thru the hoop" as people say and gives him some bunnies to get in the flow.

This has just been a weird team all year...bad chemistry and bad vibes, at least from the outside. This hasn't seemed like a team that has banded together at all. If anything, they've had the vibe (and we've had corroboration) of in-fighting and clashing personalities (*cough cough* Jaylen Brown *cough cough*). It's not a very likable Celtics team in a lot of ways.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Agreed, that's the biggest problem Ainges has created byhimself. Roster chemestry, half of the rotation has some selfish motivation this season, be it a new contract, a bigger role, more influence or all combined. Hayward has to grind through this year maybe get to 95% of his former self (physically) and then just explode in game or two consecutively (to regain his confidence) to remind the roleplayers who is here to stay (looking at guys like Rozier, Brown and Morris).

And for Celtics fans being impatient with Hayward, get your act together and think before you talk trade.

I'm 100% pro Hayward, and 100% pro trade Rozier and Morris right now.

Hmm. Draymond isn’t exactly lying.

That's 100% Jerebko. He's angry after we didn't resign him to leave room for Hayward.

People are still ridiculously overreacting. Let’s entertain the idea that he is washed, why would anyone take on his contract? It makes no sense. People are ridiculously impatient and pinning this season on Gordon, which is incredibly unfair

I think Hayward will benefit from the All-Star break more than anyone else. He needs a break to recharge the batteries

I never got the impression Hayward would “tilt” easily in Utah - he was always up and in motion, like he is here. Seems mostly injury related. But he’s also a great off-ball player and we don’t run nearly a disciplined enough offense for him to thrive.

You know what's crazy? I was watching warmups on my stream and Hayward hit about 20 threes in a row. Froob, you were there I'm sure you saw this. He legit looked like Curry out there, didn't miss. But when the lights turn on, mentally he's not ok.

Froob really needs to be nicer to Gordon when he goes to the games.

I am kidding but really I hate to say this but I am laughing my ass off at how crazy the news is around the Celtics lately and today. It's just mind boggling. Nothing anymore would suprise me on a day to day basis.

Yeah man, I was watching those threes from the top of the arc, the dude was automatic.

Stupid question that I should know the answer for but don't, can we send him up to Maine to help him get back in the groove or does he have to be on a 2-way?
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
This is a huge problem with the team in general this year. Way too much ISO ball, too many stupid 3s (especially early in the shot clock), and almost no inside game at all. I know that last bit is just the modern NBA, but it's incredible how little this team seems to get to the free throw line.

After overacting last game I'm still sure we keep riding him. Brad is not doing a great job of incorporating him in the offense, but all the highlights of him when he scores +15 points look good.

He looks more explosive, quick. If he can do that when the shots fall, he can do it always. He needs a boost in confidence. Put him in a room and make him watch 20 minuts of him lighting it up in Utah.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Especially not in that second unit, which struggles in the half court.

He just doesn’t fit with Rozier and Brown. It is a terrible lineup.
