Does that not sound like us?

Raptors sadly not one of the teams listed by Woj. I’m sure Masai/Webster still making calls, however.

You know whats crazy

We had the 6th best odds to land Anthony Davis this morning according to the same betting site that called the Kawhi trade.

We've somehow magically jumped up to 4th now.

Interesting... very interesting...

I dont know how many times it needs to be said that the Celtics cant make a trade until the off-season.

Rich Paul could have kept this internal. No need to leak it. Now you'll have vultures circling the Pelicans. And they may not get much in return. I hope they like our players other than Kawhi. :D

THis makes sense though - sure, bad for Pelicans, but it helps out the team he'll be going to which should be the priority.

We don't need to be listed. Woj/Shams/Stein had no idea about the Kawhi-Raptors situation. Masai & co. are good at keeping things lowkey.

How do we make contracts work. Siakam, fvv, Norman plus picks? Or jv, anunoby, fvv plus picks?

i dont see how Masai cant be in on this.. the opportunity to pair 2 MVP caliber players together? even if they eventually leave, the potential is just too enormous.

the raptors will likely never have a shot at something like this again

Masai getting on a plane back from Africa to make a verbal offer. His Blackberry is not reliable

Ready to parachute down and steal Davis from the Pels

The Lakers definitely would be better off trading now. I’m not sure they are happy to give up Kuzma in any deal but a package centered around Lonzo and Ingram is not going to do the trick.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not at all impressed with LA's prospects or their leverage. If Hart were on any other team, no one would know his name. Neither Lonzo nor Ingram can hit the broad side of a barn, and Kuzma seems like an average rotation player at best.

If other teams are fearful of AD bolting to LA, I'd take advantage of that. AD doesn't hit free agency until 2020. That's plenty of time for LeBron to possibly decline and LA to look much less attractive.

Assets are the issue, not the willingness to do a deal

in theory cant the raptors trade kawhi to a third team and send those assets for davis along with a few of are own. That would outbid the lakers by far. If you think kawhis leaving why not make that deal it extends the leash a top 5 player strategy.

This has Lakers or Celtics written all over it.

Masai will no doubt make the call - but no way we have the best offer. Siakam, OG, Valanciunas + picks won't cut it.

If I'm AD I'd rather play with 27 year old Kawhi for the next 5 years than play w 35 year old Lebron for the next 5 years.

If the lakers win, Lebron is getting all the credit, but if they lose? AD is getting the blame.

I can see AD going to LA and being stuck again bc Lebron gets old and is making too much money..kinda like kobe late w the lakers
