With Davis's camp putting out that he is not interested in Boston similar to what Kawhi's camp did with us.

I don't see Ainge giving up his core players for a player who doesn't want to play with them. Kyrie would have to be off the team, Tatum gone, is that a team AD would want to stay on? I don't think so, so why would Ainge give up everything for someone who doesnt want to be there and also lose Kyrie, he may as well just try and resign Kyrie. Not going to happen, there is more smoke than fire here. If AD had Boston on his list of teams things would be different.

I really don't think Boston will be giving up a crazy package unless AD indicates he wants to be there, which doesn't seem like its going to happen

New Orleans won't trade AD to LA out of spite.

This is what I'm thinking.

The Spurs did the same damn thing, not entertaining both LA or Boston.

Since we can really offer a competitive deal, this gives us a good chance.

No they're not.

Fine, but your hero boy Drake has zero influence bringing any NBA player here so stop with that nonsense.

Hard time believing the Celtics would trade Tatum for one year of AD assuming all signs point to LA. They didn’t do it for Kawhi.

The best they can hope to get is an All-Star like the Spurs got in DeRozan. I don't see any contending teams right now with one of those to trade. It's pretty tough mid season.

So the next best is a future All-Star. I'm targeting Ben Simmons if I am the Pelicans. After that you're looking at high end young players like Pascal. We can argue that Pascal is MIP and might be a future All-Star. The valuation if AD is traded this year is going to be more like Cousins-Hield than Kawhi-DeRozan I think.

I just think it's disturbing that the NBA cannot even have a year of basic parity without this kind of Drama.

This year has been the most decent in terms of Parity, and we still have Golden State with 5 All-stars.

Can we at the very least have some God damn parity? No wonder the league is dying in ratings.

This is getting ridiculous, and the odds of collusion are so damn high. Like this is bad for the league as a whole.

If we end up dealing for Davis, and re-signing Kawhi, it'd be great for the league as a whole.

We'd have Boston trying to out duel us and getting creative with their roster.

We'd have Philly doing the same with Miluwake on the heels.

In the summer, If lets say Durant does leave, and Draymond doesn't get re-signed, we got a Steph/Klay situation with GSW, where they have to try again.

Then you got Houston with Super Harden and Chris Paul, OKC with Russ and George.

And Lebron w/ the Lakers + a free agent.

The League would be in amazing shape overall.

yes, other teams can offer more but can they still be a championship team after trading for him?

I don't see any teams out there that can trade for AD and still be a championship level team

Great point. There's very few teams that can recover from the loss they'd suffer by gutting their roster for AD. Fortunately, we're one that can. Unfortunately, so are the Lakers. Hopefully Demps gets hard headed and refuses to deal with them because of the tampering.

Woj also said that teams are okay with trading for AD even if he doesn't want to re-sign with them. They'll just flip him to Boston/LA in the off-season to recoup assets. Like you said if a team can convince themselves that they can win a championship with AD this season, they might do it. Denver/Portland/Rockets/Philly/OKC/Raptors/Milwaukee are the teams that fit the bill.

Ben Simmons/Jamal Murray/Pascal Siakam are the best assets available in that group. Hopefully Ainge is stubborn and doesn't include Tatum and the Pelicans refuse to deal with LA.

I don't think the Pelicans want to treadmill if AD leaves. The reason the Spurs wanted DD was partly influenced by their views on youth vs. established talent.

NBA won't let LeBron pull another super team tampering. Investigation is being open now.

Pelicans won't trade AD to LA now.

NOP gives AD to the Raptors. Parity is now complete.

I would trade AD for Greg Monroe and 100 years of first round picks

I cant believe I'm saying this, but I hope Lamar Ball can pull of his magic!

He clearly doesn't want his kid dealt from the Lakers, and this past summer when Ball was being rumored in various deals, Lonzo started to have "knee issues"... randomly over the summer... completely killed any perceived trade value for him... a bit too convenient if you ask me...

Basically, time for Lonzo to go down with a month long 'injury'.

Fantastic. Someone had to stop this rage LeBron has been on. Regardless of rules, fans don't like it. It makes the league look bad.

lets go Masai - do something. drastic times require drastic measures. can't sit still with glaring issues all over the roster + Jekyll and Lowry and more Jekyll come playoff time.
