How do you rank our and Fakers assets?
My is:
1) Tatum
2) Bos pick via MEM
3) Kuzma
4a) Ingram
4b) Brown
6) Bos pick via SAC
7) Ball
8) Smart
9) Zubac
10) Hart
11) Timelord
12) Bos pick via LAC

If we end up in biding war with Fakers...to beat they offer 2 of 3 Tatum, MEM pick and Brown should be enough

I hope the Pels value Smart that low

Yup. Kuzma, Ball, Ingram plus picks. And they would be STOOPID to do that. Just as the Cs would be if they added both JB and JT. Again, people go stupid with this stuff.

Jayson Tatum is amazing. I love the kid. But dude had 6 points last night. Have you ever watched Anthony Davis play? When was the last time he scored 6 points? Lol. People do go stupid..but with the overrating of young players. Don't be one of those people that didn't want to trade Big Al for KG bro.

Tatum is projected to be way better than Big Al projected to be -- and you STILL include him to frame your offer and negotiate at the margins. If the C's can keep Smart/Jaylen while giving up Tatum that's a huge win.

Oh for sure. But KG was like 31..Davis is 26. So it evens out a bit.

I think we certainly keep one of Jaylen or Smart..but Tatum is obviously gone. I think Jaylen is going to end up being the Rondo of this group. Stayed and balled out.

Once Kyrie commits to Boston on July 1st, If I'm Boston, I don't clean out the roster for Davis this summer. You know Rich Paul is going to push for any other team as a rental besides LA. NO doesn't want to trade him to LA. I would think they feel like they've been punked by an agent.

I wouldn't put it past Danny to come up with something, that allows all sides to be happy.

Its almost moot. LA is desperate and will massively overpay in the end. The goal should be to keep driving that price up on their end. Make it huuurrrrt.

I think it's Smart that stays. He's ready to win a title now, on a very reasonable contract (Brown soon won't be), Irving loves him, and he is probably undervalued in a trade like this vs a young guy with upside like Brown.

Yup. O'Connor, Amick, reload, and Brian Robb, Smitty all say we still feel very good about keeping him.

He's supposedly friends with Kyrie off the court. We've got a great coach and one of the best front offices in the league. We'd instantly be the best team in the East. I'd be surprised if he didn't re-sign here.

I cant lie and tell you for sure but of the 3 they have between Ingram, kuzma and ball only kuzma has shown any real promise. Ball is bust. That i can say but I dont know **** about Ingram game.

I keep going back to this but is those 3 so much better than brown, smart and filler (rozier?) And 4 picks that it's worth trading him in their own damn conference? The answer is no but I have no idea how much NO values relevance.

Could be. I think maybe Danny wants to keep a bit more upside on the roster going forward. But Smart's contract is key to matching salaries. Without him it becomes tougher. He makes like 5 mil more than JB. Either way..we keep one and I'll be happy. I'd keep Smart just because of Curry. Dude would be key against the Warriors.

Hes not trying to lure Kyrie: thats the beauty of it. Kyrie isnt leaving— he’s just trying to scare NO into believing that we may not offer Tatum this summer so they trade him AD now.

I think that whole Lebron serenading Kyrie thingy is Lebron trying to put some doubt into AD's mind that Kyrie might leave Boston thereby making LA the more attractive destination. Sneaky SOB.

The Endowment Effect: Valuing an asset more because you own it.

If we had AD, we wouldnt ever consider trading him for Tatum. Luckily for us, Boston is a stronger market than NO and they dont have the same luxury.

Stop arguing that we shouldn't trade Tatum for AD. Please. Its just the Endowment Effect.

So what does Danny offer if Rich Paul comes out with a statement that he will only sign a contract extension with the Lakers. Does Danny change his offer ? Because you know he is going to do that any day now. If this goes past the deadline you can count on it.

It would be hilarious though if he did sign an extension just to block Lebron from getting him.

Don't think anybody is saying that Davis isn't better / worth more than Tatum.

But there is a reasonable discussion to be had around deals that don't include Tatum, because you can be sure Danny has / is trying to put one together. If we had a little more luck with the SAC pick (and still could in the lottery), and the MEM pick rolls over while they look woeful, JB, SAC #3 + MEM #5 in 2021 (for arguments sake) are 3 darn good assets that other teams would struggle to top, then you can add LAC pick, Smart, RW3 and whatever else.

Danny has 6 months to work out a way to do this without including Tatum, but I think we all know if it comes down to it, Tatum is going into the deal.
