Telling NO why would we trade all our assets for a player who's publically saying he will not be here in 2 years doesnt seem smart. Even if you're betting the house.

It only works if the Lakers **** it up like with Kawhi/George.

If Ainge tries to take someone off the table because Davis doesn't want to be here but the Lakers still put their balls on the table with their full offer, Demps will be forced to take the Lakers offer even if he doesn't want to. If Ainge doesn't take anyone off we have to live with the possibility that we gave up Tatum + Brown + picks for 1 year of Davis.

Smart shooting like he has makes him an incredibly valuable asset, then a high upside flyer in Williams. I mean I'm guessing the Kings pick will be part of it too, but I doubt that gets topped unless the Knicks get Zion.

Oh, that Instagram story he posted on Friday was no coincidence. He sings to Kyrie, and the next day, people are speculating about them reuniting. 2 days after and AD goes public with his trade request, followed by more speculation about Kyrie not staying in Boston.

Windhorst said that Davis knew he wasn't going to stay in New Orleans when he met with Paul in early January, when the Pels faced the Cavs in Cleveland. That game was played on January 5. So why wait to go public? Because they wanted to announce it closer to the trade deadline, and create a false sense of urgency for the Pels to trade AD. They are using smoke and mirrors to try and steer him to the Lakers, and it's very obvious.

Jackie Mac on around the horn shut down any rumors she’s heard about Kyrie leaving the celtics. She brought up the same point a lot of us here are making about the Chris Haynes-rich Paul-lebron-Davis thing.

It’s **** bs how this Kyrie story comes out with the Davis thing. Why wasn’t this reported before? **** Lebron that douche. He’s definitely behind all this. Purposely posting Instagram videos tagging Kyrie to create drama. Then rich Paul and Lebron telling Chris Haynes to report that Kyrie is uncertain to re-sign to scare the pelicans that the Celtics might never offer that massive package so they’re telling the pelicans to trade Davis now to the lakers.

If there is a God he would sap all of Lebron's athleticism out of his body for this kind of bull. Who else in the league actively tries to sow discord in other locker rooms to lure away their stars? This is some Machiavellian bull.

If there's no deadline deal, then competition at draft time could turn out to be a case of over-bidding. Which might mean WINNER IS LOSER. This has happened many times before--esp in the NFL where franchises have been crippled for years after disposing of multiple years of of top round draft choices in exchange for a can't-miss number one pick.
