Plus, we don't even know if Lonzo is ever going to stay healthy. He has been in the league for two years and has spent most of his time in street clothes.
Because its not just them. My rank would be Kuzma, Ingram then Lonzo. Add in Zubac and maybe Hart as well.
Except it has A LOT to do with them.
Last year, Tatum, Brown, Smart and Rozier took us to Game 7 of the ECF. What have Kuzma, Ingram and Ball done that is even CLOSE to that?
Hart is a glue guy and nothing more. The Pelicans are not going to give a crap if he is thrown in the deal.
The Celtics' young talent is so superior to LA's that it's not even funny, and you KNOW this. You just don't want to lose Tatum and Brown so you are just trying to convince yourself that the Celtics are not the favorites to land AD even though they clearly are.
And for the record, I do NOT want to trade Tatum, but I am not blind to the facts.
And you know what else? If the Knicks offer Porzingis and their draft pick (which could be No. 1), their package is also better than LA's.
Sure. If the Cs want to rip their team apart and lose their long term future than they can be the favorites sure. For two years the Cs have been the team with the best blend of high end youthful talent with vet leadership. Talk of the league. Now everyone wants to kick that to the curb for a quick fix. And its not just Tatum and Brown. Its Smart. And or Williams. And or Horford.
People need to chill. What if this core explodes and makes a long run? Thats a very likely scenario as well.
