You think the Knicks can get him without the #1 pick? Coz they are - at best - only a 14% chance at the #1 pick. (Thank you based Hinkie)

Porzingis and a top 5 pick gets my attention.

No way they're trading Porzingis (assuming he's healthy) plus a top5 pick. It would leave them exactly where they are now.

What are the odds he can't get way more than 2 years, $30m under an $118m salary cap in 2020 if he didn't opt out this summer?

He opts out, and then resigns at $25m starting salary, for 3-4 years. If we are lucky, that $25m won't escalate, but that part doesn't matter much.

You think if Horford opts out and Boston has no inter st in resigning him.. He would get 4 yrs 100+ mill elsewhere in free agency?

I don't think Horford is a piece Ainge is interested in moving on the AD front. I am predicting that Horford opts out of the final year of his max money and ends up signing a 3/55-60 million dollar extension with the Celtics. That will give him more stability to remain in Boston, win in Boston, and give the team a little more flexibility cap wise. Horford isn't going anywhere

Horford also owns Joel Embiid. Having him guard Embiid 1 on 1 allows AD to play CF and cover Simmons, which completely **** Philly.

What's the maximum amount of FRP's can you include in a deal? Yes, I know you can't trade back to back FRP's.

Danny is handling this perfectly. He isnt promising tstum and is gonna hold out on him according to woj.

I truly, honestly believe Tatum isnt gonna be part of this deal because I think we can top the lakers offer without him.

And best believe only the lakers are a threat. Lenard gonna bail on Toronto so they aren't a fit and no one else is trading for a guy who gonna bail on them.

Agree but I think the money will be more. Horford is passing up $30 million. Probably 3 years and $65-70 million

4 of our own with 3 pick swaps along with the 3 external firsts that we presently own.

He’s not going to NO though. He’ll do his best to block that.

Tatum, Smart, Yabu, sac pick, lac pick, Bos pick.

If Danny manages to not include Brown and Mem pick that would be a win.

With Durant, and maybe Kyrie.

Oh, that would be beautiful, but given the fact that he has torn his ACL, I can't see him signing the qualifying offer and then playing until he becomes a FA. I see him taking the money as soon as it's offered.

Not saying it's likely but you don't think it's possible Al would take the money by opting in and getting his trade kicker? He did leave Atlanta because he was mad they didn't want to pay him more than anyone else after all.

3 for 60 is more than 1 for 30.

I think he’s opting out no question.

I have to be honest I am not sure Al would command a 20 mil a year on the open market. He is going to be 33 years old putting up 12/7 we have been resting him for knee issues. I like Al and really have no problem paying the man just looking at the number FA's available at the C position, cap space available to contending teams and what kind of contracts have been going out to FA bigs. If I was Al I would think long and hard about opting out of 30 mil especially if there is any doubt about Kyrie. Because if both opt out and Kyrie bolts then Ainge now has a max slot under the cap and I am not sure he is reinvesting that in Al Horford.

Season is so long with only about 3 outcomes every June(or 1.000001 the last couple of years) so I don't mind it. I'm enjoying this drama much more than I'm looking forward to Friday's game against the Knicks.

Are the odds you guys are posting based on where he gets traded, or ultimately ends up long term? Because the guy is making it clear he intends on signing with the Lakers after his contract is up. Am I missing something here?

I see an article saying he's signing with Lakers in 2020 that's his intention. But my question is has he said that or is that being leaked by his agent. My thing is this tanks the pelicans value. The NBA really needs to send a message on these things. You cant allow agents and players to strong arm teams into forcing them to all go wherever they went. That's a competitive balance issue. It cuts the legs of teams.

Lakers will have to waste another year of Lebron signing 1 year contracts to washed up dudes if that's the case. And then Lebron will be 36 by the time AD gets there. I can't see them doing that.

A few things;

- Lakers can only sign him if they basically punt next season to preserve cap space,
- Does he really want to join 36y.o. LeBron and not much else by the time he is a FA?
- Would he really leave a successful team in Boston, with his buddy Kyrie signed up long term?

of course ainge is hemming and hawing about that now. that's his ace in the hole. he's going to squeeze them for every inch without tatum, and at the last minute when demps is like f it i'm calling pelinka, ainge be like "ok, fine, we'll give you tatum and the picks but you have to take hayward." deal done.

If Al opts out and Hayward is traded along with Tatum for Davis is there a chance we’d have a max slot opened up?

Of course after resigning Irving
