Report I recently saw is he is looking at any place but LA as a one year rental. You don’t trade Tatum or Brown for a one year rental and I don’t care how arrogant you are about him “buying in”. Thats ridiculous. You treat it as a one year deal and if by some chance he changes his mind, its gravy. Now seeing that he has put NO in an even bigger hole. High lottery picks and a mid level player and filler is all you get.

I don't think you know this Danny Ainge guy very well.

What's your Plan B, btw? Watch Kyrie walk and compete for 6th place every year?

Well since you are the only person I have seen say there is no future without AD, then what I have to offer isn’t worth it. I will just say this. What about KD? It was close 3 years ago. I could see that happening.

It’s not all Ainge either. Were Wyc and co not a large part of the Kyrie deal?

Wasn't close with KD. Won't be close when he signs with NY, either.

You don't generally take your star out of all your promotional stuff midseason if you expect to hold on to him through the end of the year. The Davis camp is upping the ante by letting it be known that he won't re-sign with anyone but LA, thus destroying his value for anyone but LA.

AD isn’t going to commit to signing with the Cs long term which means Danny doesn’t included the best assets and NOP eventually moves on the summer. You definitely don’t trade Tatum or Brown or top draft picks for a one year rental of anyone. Its simply not worth it. Sign KD or someone else or just move on. If AD already has a house in LA (like LeBron did) and thats where he wants to play then thats probably where he’ll end up.

KG had a house in LA, too.

KD does as well as he's not going to be a Laker or Clipper (probably).

No way he's going to LA. I dont think they have what it takes and I dont think anybody in the league wants to do favors for lebron or LA. There is a growing consensus that LA and Lebron are basically trying to bully the league to get what they want. LA is gonna have to pay more than anybody else.

Pelicans will be wise to call everybody back. Drive up the market. Especially if Davis people are trying drive the market down. You see all kinds of info getting leaked. Like Davis reps not believing Kyroe is resigning with Boston. Of course they dont think so. That helps direct AD to LA

Porzingis and a top 5 pick gets my attention.

No way they're trading Porzingis (assuming he's healthy) plus a top5 pick. It would leave them exactly where they are now.

With Durant, and maybe Kyrie.

Still, I prefer Porzingis, KD, Kyrie, top5 pick than AD, KD, Kyrie.

Again, assuming Porzingis is healthy. He's a hell of a player. And probably a better outside shooter than AD, which would fit better with KD and Kyrie

You must have missed the report of Draymond texting KD after game 7 and KD replying back "OK, let's go! I'm ready!"

Now, KD holding those meetings - now THAT, was theatrics, just as much as Gordon Hayward's FA meetings were with Utah and Miami.

So you think he lied when he said he was staying?

I take Kyrie at his word over ‘unnamed sources’ anyway. Especially since we’ve been playing over .700 ball for the last 30 games

If AD goes to LA, I think GM LBJ has already teed Kyrie up to join them there. And yes, if I am Danny I trade Kyrie now rather than get nothing for him. I do that deal in a heartbeat. The C's with two possible PG starters going forward (TRo and MS) and the availability to match on Porzi. Right? His RFA rights would transfer, no? Of course, keeping Kyrie without Porzi would be a massive gamble on the Knicks' part and they aren't trying to win any games this season anyway, so they'd want picks and a three-way would probably work better. Maybe something like the Suns thinking they could lure Kyrie in on their young core. In truth, Kyrie's value is probably already down on the presumption he'd be going to join LeBron and AD. And that lowered value may make Danny continuing to chance it make sense.
