Shiiiiiiitt.

That would be a crazy turnaround.

Whats KPs caphold this summer? I presume we would still have max money with a little manouver?

I'm far from a KP fan, and he HAS to play C.

But this is a bold move. I approve of it.

****. ****. I literally wanted Luka to drafted by New York as I wanted to see this duo, can't believe that it might actually happen in Dallas now. I'm speechless, let's hope it finalizes. The 2 Unicorns on 1 team.

This is all happening too fast, my head is in a spiral right now. Literally every EU dream just came true. Just hope KP can stay healthy.

DSJ for KP

Not bad. I’ll miss Dennis but you take a deal like that if it comes knocking. Plus Wes...he played with heart but his heart wasn’t in the right place this season. Free Wes!

lol The Knicks could have drafted DSJ in the first place, right?

It’s obvious they’re trying to clear out space for Durant and one or two other max players.

OK.

So it's

DSJ
Matthews
DJ

For

KP
THJ
Lee

I hate that THJ deal. He's garbage and will be infuriating.

With KPs possible attitude and health issues, I feel a little uneasy tying ourselves to this and killing all capspace.

That said, I totally understand why we have done it. If KP works out, that's a long term 1-2 punch and we can spend years pitting pieces around them.
Can't believe how quickly that escalated.

It's hilarious how all season I have thought what a risk it was for the Knicks with them having to give him the max all the while having suffered the major injury. Just one hour ago, I was thinking how absurd it was for KP "to complain about culture" when he had been out all year with the significant injury.

His injury actually made it believable that the Mavs could make a run at him. But it's crazy to think it'd be this fast and now.

And now here we are...

On paper a perfect match. But there are red flags.

Gotta wait for the full details of the trade. It looked much more of a home run just minutes before. Then THJr got included. It still feels like a no brainer though ah.

P.S: time for me to read up on the history between Slovenia and Latvia

risks are worth the rewards for Dallas.

If KP doesnt work out theres still plenty of time to adjust with how long you cave team control of Doncic

If he dpes work out though yall just got euro Magic and Kareem.

Trae Burke was also included apparently. I guess that's much better than just THJ and Lee.

Obviously no rush but could we see Porzingis suit up this season?

I wasn't sure if he was still injured or red shirted for the Knicks tank.

Man I love our FO.

Congrats on the steal. Going to be fun to watch when he gets back on the floor. Especially with Luka.

Unbelievable trade. 2 unhappy players, an expiring aging big man, and a future first for one of the best young players in the game. All praise Donnie.

Summary - we are eating $31 million in 2019 and 19 million in 2020, losing DSJ, and a first round pick.
We are picking up Kristaps Porzingis which hopefully isn't damaged goods and get a minor asset in THJ.

New York - Frees up cap space and gets DSJ and a first rounder. Knicks will likely strike out again in free agency and Knick fans will be banging their heads and gnashing their teeth.

Seems like a great deal for Dallas. We were not going to get a big fish in free agency this summer without picking up the rights to KP.
