His shooting can only get better from herr, maybe in Atlanta he'll be able to put it all together. Without being in the spotlight, I think he can focus on being the best version of himself instead of the #1 overall pick. I'd take the chance for a year, he'd be a cheaper backup than Lin next year, and he could be a longer term option behind Trae.

The NBA game has progressed in a way that having 2 legit PGs is not quite but almost requisite. And if this coach gets to stick around for awhile, then I'd say all the more so.

Fultz swag style doesn’t fit with our ball movement style of play. Fultz always had the ball in his hands to be successful. He’s got a lot of Stevie Franchise in him in the mold of selfish ball. Imo.

I'm also not in favor of giving them Prince in a Fultz deal. I still don't see Prince as a longterm part of the core, but I'd rather get more value for him in a separate deal.

Fultz isn't helping Philly in the least bit this season (or maybe even moving forward). They're in the middle of a window where they can get to the finals this year, and they want to capitalize on it while they can. Dedmon helps bolster their bench in a big way and can be the difference in a playoff series.

I'd give them the ultimatum of either taking the Dedmon deal or leaving it. Maybe to make things easier to swallow from a PR perspective for Philly I'd throw in a fake first that'll almost certainly not convey and instead turn into second-round picks , like what they got for Noel (something like a top 20 protected first this year, and if it doesn't convey, which it won't, they get a second in 2020).

We can send them the Cavs pick. I think the new CBA allows us to add additional protection on it.

I'm one of those who like the idea of acquiring Fultz, but don't even think about sending any future assets for him.

Fultz at this point is very much a reclamation project by any measure, no matter the icing and sprinkles that PHI wishes they could put on the situation. We can afford putting some time and effort... and patience... into a project like this that a playoff team really can't, at least if they're going to maximize their opportunity for success.

Feet planted firmly on the ground statement: Fultz would not be even a lottery pick if that draft were being re-drafted now, likely somewhere in the back-end of the 1st with all the others whose star shone brightly at one point, but has long-since dimmed.

Would any of y'all entertain the idea of trading for Porzingo?

I actually don't like him as much as most but he's a talent. Probably not truly happy with the Knicks. Surely he's happy with New York (as a city) but not happy with the Knicks (as an organization). I mean, what's there to be happy with?

Read on Twitter

All we ever hear about him is complaining. Need a change of scenery?

Your thoughts?

My interest is piqued...I'd make an offer of --

Our 2019 pick (top-1 protected) + the Cleveland pick + Taurean Prince + Kevin Huerter

for Porzingis.

I'm pretty sure Boston could beat that, though.

Whooaa, Porzingo asked to be traded?

Read on Twitter

'Bout time.

Cue up the real offers. Meaning the ones not including Huerter, @jamalll.

What should we offer for KP? We must remember, whatever deal we do, he can't play the rest of the year and he needs to be willing to sign an extension as well. So no Kevin, Trae, Collins moves.

This leaves our draft assets and maybe eating some salary like Courtney Lee. We got more draft asset than anyone by a mile but are we good enough to convince KP to resign.

We must remember, he has to resign. Trading Kevin will assure us he won't making this deal useless.

My guess is our pick 1st, top 3 protected overall protected 2019.
Dedmon and Anderson for Lee contract
Cleveland 1st

Dallas 1st might replace Cleveland if push comes to shove and he wants to play in Atlanta and that's a strong if.

If he don't want to come. No offer at all.

I understand why everyone wants to keep Huerter, but he can't be a deal breaker for a top player.

Knicks would ask for Collins and an unprotected pick. We'd decline.

But negotiating them down to Huerter and a protected 2019 pick would be a Huuuuge victory for us.

I really love Huerter. But let's not over value the kid.

NOTE: We'd have to get assurances that he indeed wanted to be here alongside Trae and Collins (and J Culver?) first.

You doing like me with Bamba and Memphis. Trade Collins, draft Bagley and Bamba and everyone was like no. Collins is proven.

Kevin is proven. You don't trade him for someone like Culver because

A. He ain't here
B. He might not fit
C. Kevin fits like a glove.

We dont need to trade any of the three core pieces

The Knicks can ask for the moon. But if no one is offering them a good rebuilding package, they not gonna do a deal. They don't really hold weight in this. Boston is waiting for AD. No one else has worthwhile assets.

If they want a deal with the Hawks.

They will get a offer based around protected 1st rounders.

Ours and Cleveland for example.

Find me one team that can top it?

^ I have no idea what you're talking about.

But Kevin Huerter can't be untouchable...he's good. But replaceable.

The biggest question is not do we have a package to entice NY, its will KP sign an extension with us. That simple.

He untouchable in this deal and at this stage.

Knicks wants to move him to Atlanta, protected picks and cap flexibility will and should be offered.

Why does no one believe me when I say the Porzingo-to-DAL deal is already done. Check Marc Stein's twitter.

Orlando has made Bamba available

Read on Twitter

Dallas pick and Lin for Simmons and Bamba and a future top 10 protected 1st rounder from Orlando.

Another trade would be:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y98gto65

Atlanta would get Mosgov, Grant and Bamba
Orlando would get TP, Lin, Anderson

Return to Atlanta Hawks
