I think they should try to move Barnes + Powell to SAC for expirings. Helps the tank to secure their 2019 R1 and gives them the space to sign Randle, who they are linked to and fits amazingly between Luka/Zinger and some 3/D role players. Could be the quickest rebuild in NBA history.

We need to find a way to get Barnes to decline his PO or trade him for some cap space and assets. Not that he's worth much...

Convert municipal and agricultural waste to refined natural gas. Sell the refined natural gas to gas companies. Use the money to provide a monthly basic income to people that earn less than $28,000 a year.

Where KP goes, me follow.... Now... All I know about Mavs is Dirk and Doncic. Will have to learn from scratch everything.

Edit needed for other forum: "I am both accounts here".

With him signing the QO, it actually gives them more cap space to build the team.

i REALLY hope this isn't IT 2.0 where Danny knew IT was DONE as a result of his injury.
If the Mavs are doing the standard practice of waive the physical because they know he's currently injured ... this could be scary.

Because my team only faces the Mavs twice a year, i REALLY HOPE it works out for y'all.

Zero capspace with the KP caphold.

Unless Barnes is moved for expirings or opts out we are in the MLE market only.

I'd give THJ licence to bomb and hope he recovers some trade value and if he stinks, we may just keep our pick.

Sit KP until he's 100 percent ready and don't overplay Doncic.

KP will only count for $4.5 next year. 23.4 million in cap space or 47.5 million if Barnes opts out.

Nope that's just if he signs the QO (which leaves him an UFA in 2020). Caphold is 17m.

This is it for me. I guess I already prepped for this by watching every Mavericks game this year. Let's type this out though just to let it burn in my brain a little.

Mills and Perry just traded a 22 year old 7' 3" All-Star, top 3 rim protector on Earth for cap space to solve a cap problem they created by signing Tom Hardaway to twice the money he would have gotten elsewhere.

KP. For. Cap. Space.

Expect this board to get a little bigger as droves of Knicks fans who've had the last straw and want to watch 2 perfectly matched young players dominate for half a decade.

Mavs fans need to make Kristaps love Dallas like he loved the city of New York. While injury prone, when he's at his best he is one of the best players in the league. Him and Luka together? Healthy? Building pieces around them for 10 years? That spells the potential for a championship in my eyes. Let's hope this works out.

His 2020 cap hold will be $17 million. His 2019 cap number will be his actual salary of $4.4 million.

I've watched countless Knicks games since Porzingis joined. Such a fun player to watch and one of my favourites in the league. While I'm obviously delighted right now, I do feel for you guys. You deserved better and so did he. It's a weird situation but I always wanted to see him do well in NY. I'm sorry you lost him. But I'm also happy. I don't know. Hopefully it works out well for both teams

KP’s caphold is a smidge over 17M and he’ll require a max deal. So FA doesn’t look like a viable option unless Barnes opts out, but maybe the Mavs can recoup some assets by using Lee to trade for a longer contract, like Dieng’s?

? Lee has another year left & Dieng has 2 years left.

He’s way overpaid, but he’s a decent backup C if the wolves kicked a decent asset in for eating that extra year. But if KP actually signs his QO, then that creates some cap space to work with before taking money on in trades.

Only if he takes the QO. Which he hasn't yet.

Until he takes the QO its 17m. And no rookie FA has ever turned down a max and taken the QO. And once KP is here with Doncic and Dirk as a mentor, he's not going to turn that down. Especially coming off an injury. He's not turning down over 100m guaranteed money.

Prefer Brunson as a SG/PG. He plays really well with Luka and gives them a 2ndary ball handler. I think they also saw this is and made DSJ expendable. What's even more scary for them, these two are both rookies and already playing well so adding a healthy KP could do wonders for them in a few years time.
