Ideally if we land Zion,we should start him first at SF, even if he looks like more PF.. start the season with Zion SF, Lauri PF,
Carter C, then figure it out thru games,if it works or not.. if not, just adjust the lineup, bench someone and find that balance OR even go into trade when decided who is future for Bulls and who isnt. Find better fit thru trade..

Works in trade machine:

Bulls get :
Ball
Mirotic (boyout)
Stephenson (expiring)

Pelicans get:
Lavine
Ingram
Kuzma
Zubac
Hart
2 future 1st round picks from LA

Lakes get:
Davis

This gets us very close to have 2 max slots open for 2019.

In the capulator, looks to me like you'll have to dump Ball to get 2 slots, even if you stretch Felicio and dump Dunn/Portis/Val. Otherwise you're at $64M. So Ball doesn't help in that regard, actually slightly better off with Dunn.

Okay, I really want Ball here. But I don't see how we're possibly going to get him. It's just not a realistic target, it seems.

I would offer Dunn, Portis, 2020 1st (top 10 protected), for Ball and maybe Solomon Hill if he's considered a negative value contract (?) in the scenario we could somehow get involved as a 3rd team.

I can't see the Pels having any interest in involving a 3rd team though.

Ball hasn't shown me enough to warrant a 1st rounder. He has talent, no doubt, but non-shooting PG's are a huge liability in this league. Besides, looks like no way an AD to LA deal gets done.

Serious question:

Is it possible for the league premier broker known as GarPax to broker a deal for the Pelicans and Celtics while getting CASH and 1 or 2 first rounders?

We have about 40 mil of expiring contracts at this moment. Get it done!

We've already cleared money for them twice. This trade absolutely needs to go to us. Lopez for Knight. We take on the 15 mill next year for their 1st.

Q is whether you’d rather have a max salary slot or say Hutchison? Because the HOU pick is currently 19 and dropping as they recover from a slow start. Not sure I would kill a max slot for what’s likeky to be the 22-25 pick. I’d rather hold it and extract better assets in salary dumps (Lakers?) or take a swing if I win the lottery and see who wAnts to play w a Lauri & Barrett/Zion & WCJ.

I don't think decent FA even consider us in our current state. If you got Zion, then I guess it's possible that would change. Still, I don't think a max guy considers us even then. I definitely want to add picks right now. Because I think we're way too far off from contention, to get anything useful without seriously overpaying. And that's it we fire Boylen. If he's here, I don't see anyone outside of fringe guys even considering us.

Someone sends this news the NBA premier broker GarPax to get this deal done!

We're not signing any premier FA for two seasons. Let's stop being delusional and get some picks. We need to completely draft players and reshape the team in the vision of our future head coach.

Maybe Houstons can send Uncle Jerry some hundred dollar bills for his hooker party tonight while we're at it.

Get it done!

Bulls are pretty shameful if they don't want to get involved in this.

How about Dunn, Felicio, Portis, RoLo to Dallas for Barnes and Brunson?

Or, Dunn, Portis, Parker to Orlando for Isaac, Fournier and Augustin?

Correct me if I'm wrong but is it not a rule where a team can only trade with a specific team a certain amount of times per year? We already traded with Houston twice already this year. Once with the Melo trade and the other being the MCW trade.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

Hmm.. I'm not sure about that one. That could be very possible.

Why would that be a rule?

I will say it may be too quiet for something not to be going on. Or maybe I'm just being optimistic.

C'mon Pax go get us another 1st for Bobby, Jabari and or RoLo!

Most trades will happen tomorrow or the next couple of days because of the super bowl they don’t want to take away from that

If we're truly not willing to take on a bad contract for Jabari or Lopez, I'm expecting a completely quiet deadline. Hopefully they realize we aren't getting good FA this offseason.
