That seems strange, I wonder who represents KCP?

Seriously though, this scenario has been planned by Klutch for some time now.
This is hardly even fair, the rest of the league is playing checkers and Danny Ainge is playing 12-dimensional chess.

I can't imagine Pelicans wanting KCP and he has a no trade clause so may have told the Lakers no to the Pelicans.

AD needs to show IT the loyalty the Celtics never did and demand to only be traded to the Denver Nuggets!

Sources: Pelicans underwhelmed by Lakers' initial offers for Anthony Davis
Adrian Wojnarowski | ESPN | 2:03 AM ET, 02-02-19

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25904225/pelicans-underwhelmed-lakers-initial-offers-anthony-davis
As the Los Angeles Lakers pursue New Orleans Pelicans All-NBA center Anthony Davis ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, the initial offers have been underwhelming, including the Lakers' first offer of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley and a first-round pick, league sources told ESPN.

The Lakers have limited offers to two of the franchise's top young players in every proposal, and resisted including more than a single first-round pick in offers, league sources said.

With five days left to make a deal to partner Davis with LeBron James, there's still time for the Lakers to improve offers. New Orleans hasn't responded to or countered those proposals, sources said.

Lakers are lowballing it.
Keep it doing that, guys.

It's like us when we tried not putting Jordan Mickey in deals.

The obvious move by the Lakers is right under their noses, but they're too stupid to see it - offer Lebron for AD. Pels take that offer because Lebron sells tickets. Lakers get a stud who hasn't reached his prime yet and is almost 10 years younger, they have max cap space to sign a guy like Kawhi in the summer, plus they have all of the young kids left.

Ball/Ingram/Kawhi/Kuzma/AD

I would laugh if they did this, because Lebron would be stuck in New Orleans for 3 years, piling up stats on an irrelevant franchise.

Imagine that phone call being made to Rich Paul. Lol

F$%k A.Davis and f#&k his father. He doesnt want to play for the most historic team in the NBA? Good, let him go to the Lakers with an aging LEbron and without any other good players (they ll have to trade all they re young players to get him, and I dont buy that Kyrie would go there).
Seriously, what did they expect? That the C's should have paid the supermax to a 30 year old with a bad injury? Did the Celtics force him to play? Would IT have sat out the '17 playoffs if Ainge would have told him to play it safe? There's no chance! Thats why even IT doesnt hold a grudge against Ainge.
I'm sick and tired of all these divas in todays NBA tbh. I dont want to trade for Davis anymore, even if the pels would accept an offer without Tatum. And if Kyrie doesnt like that, let him go to the Knicks or wherever else he wants. That team reached the ECF without him anyway. We have a ton of good picks for the next years and we will have cap space also if he leaves.
I dont want him to leave obviously, but we cant beg him to stay. Its not like we re a bad team anyway. He wanted to be the leader , to have his own team. Now he is gonna bolt because Tatum and Brown have their ups and downs like most 20 and 21 year old talents? If he chooses the easy way , to just go and play with KD then he's not a leader.

Agree.

Wesley Johnson/AD for Lebron works.

That would be the ultimate "Fu*k you" to Lebron, and Lakers would be in a great situation to land Kawhi or Durant.

But don't give them a hint

It is Negotiation 101. They come in with a borderline ludicrous offer and come up from there. Magic is not a dummy, he understands Boston's hands are tied by the Rose Rule. He also knows we have superior assets. He will make his real offer as 2/7 draws near. We are nowhere near the driver's seat until the deadline expires.

Buckle up ladies and gents, the bumpy part of this ride is still ahead.

Man if Lakers are really offering so lowball offers. If they want to get AD offer all 4 young players plus 2 first...only that way they can make it happen.

ok i'm just gonna think outside the box here. let's say kyrie is genuinely unsure about staying.

who says no to this?

Celtics out: Kyrie, Tatum, Theis
Celtics in: AD, Smith

Knicks in: Kyrie
Knicks out: Smith, 2 DAL picks
(60 day trade rule doesn't apply since it's a 1-for-1 player swap)

Pels in: Tatum, Theis, 2 DAL picks
Pels out: AD

Why for Knicks: They've then basically swapped KP for kyrie, much more palatable and makes it more of a destination for KD. they can resign kyrie to a bigger deal than anyone so kyrie more likely to re-up there. they won't need smith with kyrie there.

Why for Pels: They get their man Tatum and picks, which is what they would probably get this summer anyways. They get a peek at theis starting. They avoid AD drama and move on. They get cap space.

Why for C's: Obviously, AD. They get an extra half year to convince AD to stay, and wean him away from his dad's tit. They get Smith who is good insurance if TRo leaves, hell he might be better than TRo anyways. They keep all their picks. And they avoid more Kyrie drama.

we roll with AD/horfie/JB/smart/roze with a bench of GH/all-of-oz/morris/smith is pretty effin solid, not sure it's not even better than what we have now. we lose tatum but the dropoff to JB is not that huge. TRo plays well when starting, and we get a look at smith who is pretty talented.

Win-win-win.

DSJ is horrible. He is gonna be a Marbury type of player, he's talented but low IQ.
AD wouldnt stay without Kyrie. No chance.
But even if he would, this team would be the Pelicans of the east practically.

Tatum AND Kyrie for a one year rental Davis and an average young PG ?
