Huh?

Barrett's a non-shooter who doesn't pass.

He's not that good a prospect.

I kind of agree.

Depends on what the Pels think of Barrett or Morant because other than that, the Knicks have zilch

I never said Barrett was a better prospect than Tatum. I highlighted the part about the pick. Teams fall in love with players in the draft. We don't know if the Pelicans would value some random prospect extremely high. Happens every year.

If Barrett is as valuable as Tatum, teams can't scout.

Kid has major, major flaws in his game. Has more tunnel vision than any top prospect I've seen in a while.

It's still too early to establish the relative value of pieces. Tatum, Brown and Smart can appreciate or depreciate according to their playoff performances and NO may get to like more or less the draft prospects according to their own scouting. The important thing right now is to prevent him from going to the Lakers. Then we'll see.

Yes, I watched Duke today and Reddish is better.

Sounds about right and I agree. The # 1 or 2 pick and the ability to draft your own guy is the way to go.

Depends on how you feel about this draft, but I think like me you've heard almost everyone view this year as a 2 player draft.

The value of that pick plummets otherise. And it isn't like we won't have a roughly #14 overall pick from the Kings available. (plus our own late first. Hopefully a Clippers one too but who knows).

But outside of a top 2 pick you have to assume even the Pelicans front office would prefer Tatum over a #3.

RJ Barrett isnt as good at basketball as Jayson Tatum. Anyone who’s watched him play would tell you that. He is not more valuable than Tatum.

Like I said in my previous post, I never said I think a prospect in this draft is valuable or not. I was simply stating that the OPTION to draft your own player is valuable. Pelicans might think they could have an absolute can't-miss prospect that no one is talking about at the #3 pick.

Yes, I watched Duke today and Reddish is better.

Stay away from Cam Reddish. Jeff Green 2.0.

No, he's not as good as Green was in college. But neither is Barrett.

No, he's not as good as Green was in college. But neither is Barrett.

Reddish is a supremely talented and gifted basketball player. And he goes games at a time just drifting along doing hardly anything. He’s the ultimate hot/cold guy. Top 5 pick most likely to bust IMO

FWIW, most mocks have Morant 2nd, not Barrett.

These reports are funny. No way is a 2 year successful non bust worth as much as any unproven commodity. Not in my books. How many Pels were developed internally so far?

Tbh here cave, going off these reports, if the Kings pick jumps into the top 3, we don’t even need to offer up Tatum.

Exactly. Development is not their best quality. Tatum having 2 years of development with Stevens is a way better option.

Sun, Feb 3 vs Memphis

Wed, Feb 6 vs Detroit

Sat, Feb 9 @ Detroit

Tue, Feb 12 @ Cleveland

Fri, Feb 15 @ Atlanta

Knicks have 5 games before the allstar break where they shouldn't be considered automatic losses.
Problem is will they hold Dallas' players out? Will they move Deandre at the deadline or do teams expect him to become a FA?

Memphis did something last year with Tyreke Evans, they talked with teams and shut him out for 4-5 games just to help their tank. So the Knicks could do something sneaky like that too.
