Lmao Lakers locker room meltdown taking place while they are struggling in the midst of the toughest part of their schedule.
This is why the self proclaimed goat’s ass is desperate for AD because he knows there is a good chance he might not even make the playoffs.

Re: Anthony Davis requests trade, part 3
It’s Demps.. but I think they’re pretty clearly needing to rebuild, given the roster around Davis.. it’s all short-term deals. They’ve made Mirotic and Randle available.. they can see what they’re able to get for them and Jrue. It is interesting to think about what an alternative strategy would be.. but if they have their own high lottery pick, two or three firsts from Boston, whatever rookie contract guys they get back in a deal, and cap space.. that’s a solid start - as long as they have decent luck in the draft.
If I were them, I’d target a team stalled in a rebuild - the Magic or Suns - for Jrue.. if they could get Bridges or Jackson.. they could also try the Bobcats, MKG and Monk or that Bridges..

Kings are about to beat Philly, so all bets are off - but if we can offer them picks 14, 15 and 22, and an extremely valuable MEM first-rounder likely to be in the lottery next year or the year after, that alone is a major boon for their rebuild - they can draft their own Ball, Kuzma and Zubac..
Tatum is the only player near AD discussions who has a chance to come near to the level of AD, Giannis, etc., where he's the dominant player on the court on every possession. Don't know if he becomes quite that good, but there's a chance, both in his skill level and his projected physical development as a 2.5/3/4 with size, length and speed.
But Jaylen Brown, mostly because of his plus work ethic, isn't as far behind as people think, can still be an all-star in his own right. Then you include Rob Williams, who is a lottery talent.. There's a lot Boston can offer.
The dream would be to somehow line up a trade where you don't need to give up any of them - if we managed to swap Rozier for Bamba, if the SAC pick breaks right...
The issue I see is that Kyrie is insistent on competing for a championship this year, and that limits our ability to look for trades that set up a Davis deal or enrich our asset base. Say, if the Knicks ask for Morris for Ntilikina because they want to clear his salary.
Are they up for a rebuild? Or will they look for proven guys? I haven't seen much reporting on what NO is actually after...
If you go young and your worse. It sad days ahead and their fan base is devastated. You go for a better team right now to forget about Davis ASAP. Make the Laker deal they will be empty in the stands. Same goes for Knicks options.

LBJ and his camp were talking all that **** about Boston to get an AD trade done now but the plan it’s failing the team is sucking and the Pels don’t like the Lakers. They might miss the playoffs because these players don’t like all this AD talk.

Orlando should be interested too. Jrue for Fourier and Bamba?
Keep Vuc, Gordon, Jrue, and unload potential that will probably never be realized.

Re: Anthony Davis requests trade, part 3
No way do they trade with either, unless they are hoping to move to Seattle or something. Its suicide to reload with players from losing teams. They are demoralized youth. Born runner ups or they'd be good right now. If the Knicks trade for Davis, it's a lose lose. Lakers, the fans of the Pelicans may sit at home with a terrible future watching A losing team while seeing Davis win. I am no expert by any means, but I play armchair gym enough to clearly see that much.

Target Us, Bucks, 76ers, Raptors maybe Det. There is no other team in the East with a future for you and no way do you keep him in the West. He will own you and you know that. I get why Knick and Lakers hope they get him, I'm a homer too, but I can also admit when future sucks. Tell me why you'd love to trade your packages for Davis, I already know why, because it's no future to keep. It's simple to see.

Re: Anthony Davis requests trade, part 3
Just wait until the playoffs when our chips get another deep playoff run first. Then we will talk trade asset value. Pelicans know that. 2 years experience of deep playoff Tatum or Rookie high pick. Get outta here. That's a wrap folks. There is no trade until July 2. Cant wait. Man all these hyped up rival fans gonna be devastated when dream comes true. Last time I feared the Lakers or the Knicks, cant remember. It's been that long.
Maybe soon, but I doubt it. Regardless what happens in the next 6 months, you fates are already sealed. Develop you players better so next time you're in the running you can actually be a real consideration. Tired of fantasy fans lying about their players values. Be real. Maybe a Laker Knick trade, mediocrity for mediocrity change of scenario fresh start. That's you're option. Porzingis was traded because NY understood they had no shot at Davis not because Pelicans want their players. Porzingis gave you a chance for Davis. See the truth in that. You are better off without that. You know it's TRUE. We know it's TRUE and it's still not driving up our cost either. Danny knows what a fair deal is, so this charade will not drive the price up either. Do yourselves a favour and plan out your UFA targets. Be realistic. It's less heartbreak for you that way. Goodnight everyone.

Lakers got no loyalty towards their coach. Guess that eliminates them from getting AD as well.

Re: Anthony Davis requests trade, part 3
Isn't Kidd going there anyway. Just trying to get it done now. One can see that pretty easy, can see every move Lebron makes happen these days. Not the first time a coach lost a team while LeBron plays GM. Blame the coach, cant blame the GM for taking Ball and Ingram, Magic is a made man. Definitely gonna see a trade from them now, just not for Davis. The talent lost them a coach and a Davis. Sweet.

it would only genuinely start again for me if the knicks land the #1. then AD is theirs for the taking, and there's a good chance we'd be screwed.
Would you trade 7 (controlled and under market price) years of Zion for 1 (assured) year of Davis?
Davis is great, but 7 years of what looks like a transcendent talent is a valuable asset.
100% i would not. it's idiotic. build around zion is the obvious move.
but these are the knicks we're talking about.

Orlando irritates me more than any team in the league because they straddle the fence with their “rebuild” continually. Danny has been able to do that, when he was adding Gary Payton a decade and a half ago and when he was developing Marcus and Jaylen with IT and then Horford around them. And Denver was able to do it - but there were always clearly defined roles and fits.
Ibaka could have helped, if he’d played well - but the Magic are always keeping just enough veteran help to avoid being high lotto bad, never enough to make the playoffs. They’ve needed, for years, to commit to a full ugly rebuild or bring in veteran help. They should have moved on John Wall before he signed that nightmare contract, or Jimmy Butler. And their one bold move backfired horrifically - Ibaka sucked for them, Presti traded virtually the same package for Paul George, and Oladipo became a star in Indiana.
I would trade Vucevic, Fournier, probably Ross, maybe Gordon - Ross for Tyreke would be my first move - see if he can recapture his Memphis form in Orlando as a lead guard. See if you can get Bradley Beal for Fournier, Vuc and a first - if not, try to get Malik Monk for Vucevic, barring that, any decent young player or first-round pick with no more than 7 or 8 million in returning 2019-20 salary, and as little as 0, then Fournier for pretty much anything to get out of his last two years or get them down to one (George Hill? Brandon Knight?)
The risk is that feeding too many minutes to Isaac and Bamba before they’re fed enough calories will hurt their development, but the goal is to lose leanly - this year’s draft might not get them Morant or Barrett, but it gives them a good chance at picking up a lotto talent shooting guard. Watch the fit with Isaac and Gordon carefully - Gordon will be easy to move at any point if Isaac needs to be the four, Isaac if Gordon suddenly transforms into a superstar. Best case the fit is like Amare and Shawn Marion.
If they start July 1 with this core:
George Hill/Augustin
Jarrett Culver/Jerian Grant
Aaron Gordon/Jonathan Simmons
Jonathan Isaac
Mo Bamba/Mozgov
And 25 million or so in cap room.. see if you can get some guys on 1-year deals - Reddick, KCP money - for the 1, 4 and 5 - and look for trades that exploit your expiring money. You’re in for one more rough year, maximum, or a surprise 40-win campaign, and then you’re looking at more than double-max cap room - and maybe not much to spend it on - but you can roll it over to 2021, where you’re either chasing someone big or feeding on the teams dumping money to chase someone big. Move Aaron Gordon for a star point guard and you could be the best landing spot for Giannis in the league..

Davis is a transcendent talent, and it’s only a loss if they trade for him and then strike out in free agency, or settle for Goran Dragic and Khris Middleton, in which case Davis would be a decent bet to walk.

A bit suss when Jeff Van Gundy said that trade package wasn’t good enough & Jackson got angry at him for saying that. With all the talk about Jackson potentially getting the coaching gig next year, I wonder why he’d get so defensive about that ....
