Simmons/Wanamaker
Smart/Smith
Tatum/Hayward
Davis/Ojeleye
Horford/Theis/Bamba

Re-up Theis, re-up Horford on less money, we can MLE a guard or use it to bring back Morris or Baynes..

Simmons/Tatum/Hayward/Davis/Bamba would be the size line-up..

If Hayward gets healthy, that team is good enough to come out of the east this year - it sets up a great rivalry with Philly - and if Davis wants to play out next season without an extension and then go to LA, we can trade him at the deadline next year, too.

If we get Davis (which we will), Kyrie will stay. So no.

I don't see the Pels taking AD off all their marketing midseason to then be patient and wait until the summer--risking injury, etc., along the way, along with AD making it clear he's a rental to all other bidders.

I think we've got to face up how much the landscape is likely changing: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25903463/kyrie-irving-nba-superstars-going-all-in

You're dreaming if you think a Kyrie rental gets that.

- DSJ is not good and will likely be out of the league in five years;
- Mitchell has barely played organized basketball and is already having ankle issues in his first season;
- The Mavs 1st rounders aren't going to be all that great

Quantity does not equal quality.

That is a VERY risky deal for New Orleans. It's not like they are trading just a regular All-Star here; they are trading Anthony Davis. They HAVE to get this right.

If the Knicks don't get the No. 1 pick, they have no chance of getting him with that type of package.

If they're doing the rebuild, either package is great. I'm not sure there's ever been a (non-BKN) trade as heavily loaded with top picks and young guys. And they have two to pick from!

It all comes down to Tatum vs the Knicks pick, whichever they like. And if they want to be able to tank next year, too.

The rest of our packages are similar (I'm assuming we keep Smart out of it):

MLE and S&T Terry vs DSJ/Knox - wash/NYK
DAL 2021 vs MEM - BOS. (Dallas could be as bad or worse than the Grizz in 2 years if KP is injured again, who knows? BKN wasn't supposed to be bad when we got the picks. But I'll give BOS the edge here)
SAC pick vs top 10 protected 2023 - wash/BOS. IF SAC makes the playoffs, NYK version better.
Williams, Yabu vs Mitchell, Ntilikina (and possibly Dotson) - wash/NYK
Their own tank vs having Tatum & Terry & MLE affect it? NYK

If they think 3rd pick and tanking next year is better than Tatum, I'm not sure they'd be wrong.
If they don't want to tank for fear of Seattle, we got them - unless someone comes along with a Derozan-type offer.

DSJ is terrible, dude. I really wish people would stop pretending like he has any value. There is a reason why the Mavericks couldn't get rid of him fast enough.

As for Ntilikina? I live in New Jersey and am surrounded by Knicks fans. I would say 75-80 percent of them hate Ntilikina and want him gone. Also, the Knicks own front office is split over him and have been debating trading him even before AD became available. His playing time hasn't even been consistent this year and he has actually regressed.

I like Mitchell, but we don't even know if the guy can stay on the floor. He's had nothing but ankle issues this season. Williams is a MUCH better prospect than him and Ntilikina combined. It's not even close.

Unless the Knicks get the No. 1 pick, Tatum is, by FAR, a better asset than anything they have.

**unless the worst case scenario happens and we trade for him in a Kyrie deal— at that time he’s easily one of the best PG prospects in the league

You do realise they can sit him down for the rest of the year ? San Antonio did it with Kawhii.
This is their future where talking about, if waiting means they get a better package and a better chance to win a championship in the future, of course their going to wait. The Lakers are already in bad terms with Demp too.

Basically, Horford and KD agree to an opt-in-and-trade:

Bos sends: Horford and Brown
GS sends: Durant

Kerr gushed over Horford and he would be a perfect fit for them at the 5 post-Boogie. Jaylen Brown gives them a nice piece to build long-term. This gives them two solid pieces for a player who’d elsewise be leaving.

Second deal:

Bos sends: Hayward, Tatum and as many first as needed
NO sends: AD

Boston rolls with a Kyrie-Smart-KD-AD core with as many ring chasing vets as needed.

Swing big, Danny—lets get this **** done. Maybe this is KG part two, only KD is our ‘Ray Allen’ move.

The entire tweet and article was on assembling a super team of all three and how KD is interested in coming here

I personally would rather have KD, for a couple reasons. He is much more durable than AD. Most importantly he want to be a Celtic if he signs here as free agent. I like players that want to be here.

Yes, very. He’s the former EIC of CelticsHub, the ESPN micro-blog and all of the local beat writers are RTing him.

He’s no Woj or Shams but he’s not a guy that just tweets bs rumors. He’s like Smitty he really knows all the rules regarding cap space and trades.

The question is, how would the C's clear cap space? Otherwise the only option is to do a sign and trade.
