Quit trolling with your non-linked, non-supported, non-facts.

Here from the fake news Stars and Stripes:
The Wounded Warrior Project spent 34 percent of its donations on raising more money in 2014 – and only about 60 cents of every dollar on direct aid. If it had instead put 90 cents of every dollar into direct aid such as Homes for Our Troops and other top-rated charities, the group would have spent an additional $75 million on wounded troops on top of the $149 million it did spend.

This in an article critical of The Wounded Warrior Project for only spending "60 cents of every dollar on direct aid." The article lists six other veterans' charities that spend 89-97% of every dollar on direct aid. But how can you trust the carelessly sensationalistic reporting of the leftist Eastern liberal big corporate MSM Stars and Stripes? Gotta be FAKE NEWS, right?

I think you asked a few pages back (which is like one STD post) to name one thing that you have ever gotten wrong. Too funny! I really can't think of one thing you have ever gotten right, and as I've said before, in my soft, social justice warrior, limp-wristed, hand-wringing, lefty-liberal bleeding heart, I believe you simply cannot help it, and my kind actually has sympathy for things like that.

But you can try STD, and you should. When even the unflappable doclinkin is given pause, you should not think of that as some ultimate trolling victory (unless it is your goal to be banned from every board on RealGM) but rather a moment to take a deep breath, walk away, and make some pancakes for a while. Try, STD, try. Put one foot in front of the other and try to put neither in your mouth.

And the sentences for white collar crime should be longer, and enforced more rigorously.

i would like to see all prison sentences be categorized by age, type of crime and come with a dollar amount.

Let's take manslaughter via DUI as an example.

--If some wealthy athlete accidentally kills a person while very slightly buzzed (drinks about 2 shots in 1 hour and drives home) and that athlete can (and will) pay the family $5 million for wrongful death then I would be willing to let that person go with a 10 year suspended sentence and year probation and Breathalyzer on all vehicles.

--However if some poor douchebag down the street has no means to make the family of the dead at least somewhat "whole" because they have no money...then that person should have a fine attached to their prison sentence where they work 16 hours per day and workers concentration camp for 10 year and 80% of their earning go to the family and 20% to pay for the prison. If this same person studies in the 8 hours they have off so as to get a better job and make more money while in prison...fine. all the power to them.

additionally violent crime offenders against should not be housed with kids who stole some stuff or dealt drugs. 18 year old who sold drugs should not be housed with 40 year old axe murderers.

things like prison rape and prison gang system would essentially go away by making prison a 16 hour per day work concentration camp. pay them a fair wage. and the wage goes to pay the victims. Once the entire fine is paid you release the prisoner. Prisoners would be too tired to rape each other and run drugs.

This way prisons would pay for themselves and victims would see real restitution.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

maher and nordham. also let me state FTR that I was Bill maher's personal hotel liason in 1996 when he went on tour with his show. He treated me like dogshxt bossing me around like I was on his personal pay roll with very odd requests...things I had done for other wealthy guest but they often had hundred dollar tips and more in their hand as they made the requests....things like cigarette runs at 2 am. booze runs. last second limo requests to shady bars. Maher also treated other minority hotel workers even worse. He was often heard saying, "do you know who I am?" Often. While making really odd requests like his room cleaned by as many maids as necessary so long as it could be done it 5 minutes or less while he watched and directed them how to clean. It should be noted that the maids were entirely comprised of african immigrants and local latina women.

Bill Maher was a bad dude back then. One of the few hotel guests where the entire back of the house hated his guts and we talked about him years later. keep in mind the entire chicago bears football team stayed with us every night before every home game and just about everyone else that came through chicago in the 90's. The bulls stayed their often for luncheons. so did the cubs. R kelly through monthly parties. Micheal jordan celebrated his 35th or 36th birthday here and tons of people came to perform for that party. The DNC 1996 national convention was headquartered here. and many many others.

No one was more talked as being a real jerk than Bill Maher. Just treated human being awfully. Like every non celebrity was a 2nd class citizen. and poor working folks were 3rd class citizens. His own production team hated his guts and talked crap about him. Anyone who watches his show is a fool.

Given the closeness of the most recent TX Senate race, Republicans must of-course ramp-up their voter suppression efforts in coming elections.

Didn't McConnell recently call the idea of a national holiday to vote a power grab? I will never fathom how some of you support this party. :noway:

Concentration camps?!?!???

work camps. absolutely. prisoners who commit crimes should be made to work hard labor for a minimum of 8 hours per day. They should be paid for their labor. The pay should go to the victims of the crimes and to pay for the cost of the prison.

A friend of mine, a carpenter/painter/generalcontractor went to fed prison for 6 months. he liked to work so he remodeled the entire guards offices and the entire prison in 6 months he was there. For him working 10 hours per day 7 days per week is the norm. The guy just loves to work. The guards and inmates loved him for it. Normally he would earn 200-300K for a remodel like the one he did on the prison.

Why isn't every prisoner made to work just like this...and its quite simple...you dont work (and get things accomplished) that day and no time comes off of your sentence.

prisoners can easily make clothes. work in concrete fabrication. makes signs. make accessories. heck they prove they are trust worthy and at the end of their sentences can even make electronics and do electronic web based customer service for trouble shooting software. work on farms.

put 'em to work! make 'em pay their victims restitution!
like i said, its a full rebuild.

I don't know what to do about the cash bail system. The point is to offer bail as an alternative to incarceration while you're waiting for trial. It's ended up being a system that punishes poor people for being poor.

The complexity of these crimes is an argument that serious sentences could actually serve as a deterrent.

Yes, all in on the "War on White Collar Crime", the other wars on crime were soooo effective. What we need is more people in prison. As a part of the industrial prison complex - sign me up!
