That NC State game was really something  I only watched about 5 minutes and it was enough.

UW is still sitting in top-25 in SOS and RPI. Still in very solid positioning for a good seed. Next few games will be tough, though. Maryland game was an important win. Taking 1 of the next 3 now will have gotten us through the toughest stretch of the schedule 2-2 overall.

I wish the power conference teams would do the same "bracket buster" games some of the mid-majors do towards the end of the year.

Other than Nova, there is really is no other quality win MU can get on it's schedule with such a down year for the BE.

FWIW, the worthiness of a team's resume is now figured by NET (basically looks like KenPom at this point of the season) and quadrant wins based on NET. UW I think has 4 Q1 wins but Oklahoma and NCState didn't help the Badgers.

The committee may still look at RPI but I don't think they're supposed to. NET is the thing now.

Looks like UW is 12 in NET.

Just came to post this. Crean is creating some buzz (no pun intended) around town since he arrived. Which is exciting, and also gross (for a UW fan).

Though Crean was an adversary, I kinda have him in the same realm as Favre and Bielema. Things are fine now without him and he's an interesting guy doing his thing elsewhere. Good for him and no ill will. I will laugh at the antics of all of them from time to time but otherwise, eh.

Isn't it kind of odd/funny how the SEC as a whole decided to put an emphasis/'investment' on hoops beyond Kentucky with so many teams hiring big name coaches and then all of a sudden they start getting good recruits and winning? Hmm, I wonder what's going on here.

No, I do not give him any pass. He is a **** hole. He has pulled scholarships given to athletes so many times, at both Marquette and Indiana, that he literally has his name on Urban Dictionary as doing just that. And he did it at Georgia as soon as he got there, too.

He is a ****.

It's 2019 and for some reason people are still dumb enough to think that stuff involving blackface is funny and harmless. Morons.

What is that even supposed to be trying to do? Take a black dude and put more blackface on a pic?, I don't get it at all. Is there an unknown joke, a mascot thing, wtf. Could just be poor quality pic but it almost looks silver-ish too. With all the headlines in VA this week just right in everyone's face how could anyone think this was a good idea.

I think the kids were just making fun of his skin care routine, that's a photo from his personal instagram.

It was stupid because people will obviously take it the wrong way, but almost no way they went in with the intention of racism

Wasn't it a pic he himself put online that the students just printed out? I don't get anything about it at all.

Beyond **** stupid. I was really confused by this and didn't know if I was missing some background on the picture, and upon some googling read that it was apparently photoshopped - which makes sense (that Jalen didn't do that), but also makes no **** sense at all (because wtf). Port Washington is also selling that the students 'had no idea' the picture would be construed as black face. What the hell else were they going for?

My god. Just so stupid. And at least one parent was involved, as well. Ffs.

ETA: It wasn't photoshopped - corrected further down page.

Ah thanks for the info. Well yes that changes thing a bit than what the initial reaction is after seeing.

ETA: after Mikesigood post. So they're making fun of acne then? still, how could people be obtuse enough to not realize the look here and just stay away. come up with something else.

Interesting, that's not what I read in one of the articles I found. I don't see anything on his IG account now, but possibly it was deleted.

It would make more sense, as I have no damn idea what else they were trying to do with this other than blatant (and weird) racism.

It's dumb and kids being kids (Printing off a photo and not understanding the greater social context whether they thought it was black face of just skin care), but hopefully it was just a quick picture and a teacher there was like...ummm...yeah no....

I can't read correctly. The article I was referencing says photocopied, not photoshopped. My bad.

Still super stupid.
