Pelinka was also Carlos Boozer's agent when Boozer reneged on his deal with the Cavs in 2004. Pelinka's firm forced him to resign as Boozer's agent after the subsequent outcry from NBA GMs and owners.

That didn’t stop Lebron from signing with Pelinka’s team.

I'm from Akron and watched him play for the first time as an 8th grader. I had been one of his biggest fans over the past 20 years. I now believe he's the WORST thing that has ever happened to the NBA.

LeBron's been great for the NBA. Guy never gets in trouble, isn't a bad person. He's just the modern day athlete, in control of his own destiny.
That's what people dont' like about him. He's willing to exercise his power. I think the guy is great.

LeBron is a great guy. The issue is that the power that he exercises seems to have had a direct influence on how the NBA is and how the game is played (teamups, flops)jfs1000d wrote:vct33 wrote:PierceFan4ever wrote:Lebron is such a hoe. Can’t wait till this bitch retires

Lmao. I can't believe people actually believe this "LeBron is a great guy" nonsense. Guess constantly throwing teammates under the bus on social media, getting coaches fired and manipulating the media makes you a "great guy."

Sure. He's a control freak who externalizes his insecurities. It makes sense, he was hailed as this great thing when he was a teenager...still developing as a person. So he grew to really depend on his media image to determine his self worth. Now, we have a Lebron who scrambles to maintain his image in the media to feel secure about himself. I consider that to be more maladaptive than being a "bad guy". Though, the decisions he makes are hard to overlook. It's also hard to ignore the good he does do.Valid wrote:Jaqua92 wrote:LeBron is a great guy. Maybe you and I have different opinions of what makes a good person and what makes a bad person.
I do agree that we as fans and the media have helped create this monster, but that doesn't change who he is.

I do agree with your take that we have created this "monster". I am ready for him to retire. I also think overall, he hasnt been good for the NBA.

Honestly, in the world of sports, yeah it does.
Jordan did the same stuff but was a complete dick off the court. Dude literally punched a team mate in the face. Karl Malone raped a 13 year old girl. Bird gave zero **** about the world outside the Celtics and his farm. KG was out there making fun of people with cancer and talking about the taste of dude's wives vaginas. KD is on that sociopath life with his burners. Kyrie got a F.R.I.E.N.D.S tattoo.
I think you have this sheep thing reversed.
Lebron does a ton for the community socially and through his charity work. He isn't a **** idiot who only cares about himself off court. Worst thing he's done in any public sense is get caught slipping into someone's DMs and all athletes cheat. I think Lebron is a good guy who can go straight to hell because he is a Laker. I will always hate every Laker outside of Kareem. A Laker could save the planet and I'd still say **** them to hell.

Yeah I also replied to it and cc'd Anthony Davis' twitter, telling him to come down and add a few more. I guess Lebron and Rich Paul saw everyone doing it and demanded ESPN to take it down.
Minor quibble. ESPN got it wrong. Patriots have either won recently in 2014, 2016 and 2018 or 2015, 2017 and 2019 depending upon your perspective.
Scary thing is, there is a chance Patriots are better next year than this year. Chiefs have ridiculous offense when it comes to skill position players but Patriots may have more draft capital and the better defense. And at this point if players like Gronk and McCourty twins retire, quality FAs may want to join them at a discount.
At some point, age/injuries will catch up to Patriots but I wouldn't feel confident betting against them next year.
I don't rule out this Celtics team winning it all this year. They really just need to stay healthy and have Hayward step up his game in post season to have a chance to take advantage of any Warriors injury to their big 4.
They won in 2015, 2017 and 2019, because those are the years the Super Bowls in which the Super Bowls were played.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves. The Patriots are not the "2018 NFL champions." They are either the 2019 NFL champions or the 2018-19 NFL champions.

So because all athletes are bad means LeBron is a good guy? You are literally using Karl Malone raping a child as your barometer as if to say "well at least LeBron didn't do THAT."
He isn't a "good guy."
And no; not all athletes cheat. Look at Tim Duncan, where the situation was reversed. A REAL good guy.

I'm saying that all athletes pull some sort of bull **** in the sport itself but Lebron off court relative to most NBA stars is a great person. I liked Lebron as a person on the Cavs. Only hated him on the Heat and Lakers because **** the Heat and Lakers.

So you agree then? Most of these dudes are pieces of ****. Its not hard for Lebron to be a good person in comparison but he definitely is. Seriously what has he done outside of basketball that's bad in any way other than cheating? And manipuating the league like this doesn't mean you are bad person, it means you are a person desperate to win at any cost. It's corny as **** and annoying but it's not like he's the only one doing this.

If KD was remotely close to a sociopath, he wouldnt be making burner accounts to argue with fans who critique him. Yeah but I don't see how that is at all relevant to me calling LeBron a POS. He is a POS. Just because he is less of a POS than a guy who raped a 13-year-old doesn't mean he is not a POS.
As I said before, Tim Duncan: real good guy, and I know this for a fact as someone who knows people who know TD.
