12 seconds in, Caris is seen taking jump shots. As Windrem pointed out, he's doing so on the road.

Yup. Going to guess post All star break t the latest he'll be good to go. He's been shooting around for a few weeks now iirc

He's been shooting for at least 5 weeks now. He's traveling to every game. Jumping around on the bench. He must be pretty close.

I prefer caution over everything but coming back post All Star break is kind of arbitrary. I wonder how they handle his time line.

Yeah Caris should be ready to go after all-star break.

The kid was having a breakout year and taken over as leader of the group so it will be interesting how they manage his return.

Having another ball-handler that can slash and make something happen + brings tons of energy will only make us even stronger.

Shabazz was doing a decent job but he's Jr Smith trapped in PG body. He can win you a game or shoot you out of one.

In a weird way his injury FORCED guys like Dinwiddie, Russ, Harris , Fro, etc out of their comfort zones and in the long run the team might benefit from his absence.

Super excited to see him back on the court. I still have his game winner vs Knicks and Nuggets on the road imprinted in my mind.

The all-star game is still 5 weeks away. I think he'll see some time before then on a heavy minutes restriction, just to shake some rust & test out the ankle.

Kenny is going to have an unenvious job trying to get the injured guys re-acclimated without disrupting team chemistry. I know Crabbe is kind of everyone's dumping boy, but before he got hurt him and Joe were really getting in a groove shooting. Caris was our best player before he got hurt. Dudley is a veteran presence and helps position our guys defensively. Rondae is a versatile defender with energy and was tasked at defending guys like Kawhi, George, etc during our 7 game win streak.

Like seriously, who do you sit? Someone's minutes will be cut down, and that someone would have been deserving of every single minutes he's earned.

Rodi gives us a versatile dimension at the 4. Graham is a Kenny favorite and plays defense/rebounds. I think Napier obviously will be the one taking a backseat first, and he'll be used as an occasional spark plug when needed. Carroll is still playing well and brings defense, veteran awareness, and outside shooting (not to mention the craftiness to get to the line).

Its gonna get interesting.

Sean Marks has done a bang up job of building a ridiculously deep roster.

I think they'll err on the side of caution. I don't believe he's even practiced yet. He's taking jump shots this week. But as far as I'm aware, he hasn't even participated on 3-on-3 scrimmage types. That was the 1st step that they had Crabbe took before they even let him do 5-on-5 scrimmage. Which then led to him eventually playing on a minutes restriction.

As long as there aren't any crazy injuries (knock on wood) that forces us to have to play him even limited minutes, I think they play it safe.

Napier will be first in line to lose minutes, especially when Caris returns.

You also have to take in the account the mental hurdle. he's going to need to get used to running, jumping, and landing without worrying about his ankle popping off again. Considering that driving is his bread and butter I hope that he is able to get over that quickly.

Which is why I'm hoping he can get 10 minute per game & some of days off in before the break.

5 more games, then All Star Break, then the return of Levert (most likely).

Hoping we go at least 3-2 and stay above .500 before Caris comes back. Once he's here, I'm sure we'll see a major decline in Rodi's minutes but I'm assuming he'll still be the starter for a few games before going back to the bench.

LeVert throwing down windmills in practice. He must be coming back VERY soon for them to release this footage. It was like a movie trailer.

Yeah, sounds like he'll be back before the all star break.

I think he might some mins for the Cleveland game.

LeVert might really wanna play and Nets are in a playoff push, but neither better not be rushing his return.

I always figured that would be the plan. Get a couple minutes restricted games in before the break, maybe with rest days in between, and then hopefully be close to a full load after the break.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
