Davis is in the second season of a five-year, $127 million contract that expires in 2021. He has been patient with the Pelicans' personnel problems and their frequent missteps. He loves New Orleans and swears he doesn't long for a major market. He does, however, long for a well-run, well-balanced franchise. He sees it with San Antonio and Oklahoma City and plans to hold his team accountable to find a way. Cousins' arrival is a start, but the Pelicans are devoid of depth and developing young talent.

Them keeping Holiday might also be favorable to us if they prefer staying relevant instead of trading for potential pieces.

AD and Westbrook are friends.
New orleans should help a small market team after being almost forced by big organizations.
OKC has a 2-3 years window to win something

If only we had SOME assets, I would be confident about a deal. Can we just say to them that we will give them some first round picks and young talents when we are going to tank in 3-4 years?

Now is when you ask the question,"who benefits from this leak?" Answer is obviously Nola, and the simplest reason for asking him not to report the full list is that la then knows what assets it needs to beat. This feels like posturing.

You don't think Rich Paul can tell the lakers who they are competing against?

I don't believe he can within the confines of the rules. Does that matter? Maybe not, but the pelicans have shown that they're ready and willing to go after the Lakers if at all possible

Well that list is super weird anyway, starting with the fact that Boston isn't included.
Clippers are IN but they don't have any superstar yet.

Basically he's saying that Irving is gone, Kawhi going to the Clippers and probably Durant to the knicks.

Or basically he's listing a bunch of places that don't have the assets to trade for him. Hell, it's likely that "list" doesn't even exist and it's just a PR move.

His dad said he isn’t going to Boston. They screwed themselves with the IT situation.

Personally I think that's just a bunch of bull. Once family members are "involved", you know the media is just looking for drama. If he went to the Celtics and they went to the Finals, he wouldn't leave the team because of Isaiah Thomas.

Well if he was adding Celtics to that list, it would make sense.

Odds of Kawhi going to Clippers are sky high. Chances of Knicks getting Durant are good too (maybe he knows more than we do).

Knicks have the assets to get him. If he commits to sign an extension immediately they would gamble with their first pick which is only 14% of getting Zion if I'm not wrong.

It's plausible- in the espn article you linked earlier he spoke about wanting a good org. From his perspective, what they did to Thomas, who was their star at the time, can't look good for you going forward.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but there is more legitimacy to that statement than you might assume at first glance.

If the new LAL package is real, they just have to add Zubac and the deal is done IMO.

He better not. The Lakers are asking him to take their version of Andrew Wiggins and Antawn Jamison and then have the privilege of overpaying them both. **** that.

Whose going to beat it? They didn't want Kristaps.

Anybody with a good player. Adams+Ferguson is better than that.

Nah. They want to start with young players so basically you are saying that Ferguson is better than Ingram+Kuzma+Lonzo+ 2 late first picks.

I know they are trash but still...maybe one of the three will become a good player. I wonder why Pelicans aren't making pressure to get Zubac though

Adams and Ferguson are both young players. Adams is just proven. If I were Demps, I'd certainly consider it.
